And the video footage of F-16 flights is NATO planes flying into the Odessa region from Moldova or Romania and flying back immediately and can be filmed in another place with editing.

It normally takes over 3 years to train an F-16 pilot and hundreds of flight hours. The pilots have to go through a set of exercises they must master according to NATO standards. That Ukrainian F-16 pilots have managed the minimum requirement in such a short time is a feat in itself. The F-16 program has been very intensive for these pilots. In addition these pilots have to master English language very well.

By August 2024, it is known about the small-sized hypersonic missile being tested, created from scratch, that it is undergoing flight tests and will have a speed of more than 5M. The maximum depends on the imagination of experts, but 10M is still unlikely, unless the creators have graduated from Hogwarts. The hopes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for the arrival of the F-16 Fighting Falcon will not come true. Competition with the Okhotnik is fatal for the vaunted Falcons. It will notice them at a distance of up to 400 km. If they fly from the side, then at 160-200 km, and then there is no chance, the R-77M will not let you lie. So it is better for falcons, especially older ones, to stay hundreds of kilometers from the Hunters. The S-70 can hunt alone, in a group, under the control of the Su-57, or with a cloud of smaller drones.

Oh, and sorry for the nerding out here. But I LOVED fighter jets growing up. I had all the diecast models and would run around making fighter jet noises while I flew them in my hands. One day, in the middle of Northern WI while I was on summer vacation from school, I heard the rumble of a jet engine from inside the house, and I ran out as fast as I could into our field. I saw a jet making a turn about 3 miles away and it sparkled in the sun's reflection. I thought it was a Tomcat. I knew all of them, and still do. But I couldn't tell for sure. Turns out it was banking in my direction, and as it got closer and closer, I could finally see it up close... It was an F-20 Tigershark!! I'm not kidding... that pilot and jet were 500 ft off the ground at low speed, and I was waiving my arms at him. He looked at me, and rolled the wings a little bit. It was CLEARLY marked F-20 on the rudder. If anyone knows that pilot, tell him I said thanks!! Coolest thing I ever saw, and that man was my hero.

Did you watch the clip. Ukraine says 10 arrived. Others will be coming in tranches regularly from now on. Later on we'll start hearing about Ukraine getting some Gripens, Raffaeles, Tornados, Eurofighters etc no doubt. Maybe even F-15's, A-10's, F-18's.

@@KevinWarburton-tv2iy That's a bit optimistic. I can't even begin to fathom the logistics of a country like Ukraine trying to run more than a couple of types of aircraft. Not only is each type a completely different skills set for pilots to fly - they don't have that many pilots, these aren't cars. pilots can't just jump from plane to plane and be able to fly it, each platform takes hundreds of hours to learn on - but also the ground crews. Each type requires a different skillset from the engineers to maintain, repair, refuel and re-arm. Not to mention the spare parts that will be needed in constant supply. A combination of f-15s and f-16s would be perfect for Ukraine, but I don't see anyway in hell they are going to be given f-15s. They are far more expensive and not many countries fly them. Similar argument for Typhoons and Rafales, there aren't enough in supply. Britian for example is already lacking in a lot of military firepower right now, and we certainly aren't going to give up our Typhoons. We need them for ourselves 😅

They are training new pilots daily, it will be impressive to have many young new pilots in their F-16's with their National insignia. Just the sight of them will instill pride and respect of the men who defend their country. These are only 2, of many more, and the more experienced they get, the more effective and dangerous they will become as their experience will allow them to evade the many anti-aircraft missiles, weather, and enemy aircraft. Slava Ukraine! They will use drones to draw off the first defense of anti-aircraft missiles, shooting at slow moving drones, but when these aircraft speeds over at top speed, reaching their targets in a few minutes, not hours, it can make a difference.

Yes these F16's cruise at 577 mph top speeds 1360 mpr, so they can reach targets alotttt faster than 60 mph drones, Someone mentioned there are now 10 inside Ukraine,,, the issue is, where to stage these beasts??? Your military leaders give speeches where they think they are instilling pride and bravery in your soldiers by telling them “life is overrated, go and die for your country - you will always have a beautiful grave with an eternal flame and your name will be in songs for eternity” and the poor sods get blown up by a Ukrainian FPV drone, just enough so that they still live but are maimed and cannot move… and it takes three days to actually die. Nobody comes for the wounded russian soldier who is maimed, he just suffers incredible pain for three days until he dies, and his body is eventually retrieved long after it is decomposed, and dumped into a gigantic anonymous pit with a bunch of other dead russian soldiers, and your wife doesn’t even get a bag of potatoes for losing her son (remember when it was a Lada?) because “they never found your body”… That is the reality of it, Doc. That is how russian soldiers are dealt with. Russia never should have invaded Ukraine. Never.

I watched a WW2 memorial flypast of F16s in the UK some years ago... One moment they were just 2 distant dots in the sky, next moment they were massively and menacingly overhead, flying low, but TOTALLY SILENT [flying faster than the speed of sound].... in a flash they were gone... but then sound wave hit us, the roar of those massive engines... the ground shook! It was totally awesome and I felt how terrifying it would be to be attacked by them... even when unarmed and just doing a demo, these are awesome war machines! Go Ukraine! :-)

I wouldn't be surprised if the F-16's flew from a base in Poland. Also Russia has nit been having much success hitting Lviv lately where I guess the Planes would be mainly based for now. Once more arrive they will distributed. If they have 80 Planes in total coming then they will likely be spread out with only a few at each airbase making it hard for Russia to get any big Coups.
