UK has shared its tech with Ukraine. The prototype was given to Ukraine. I'm guessing in order to build and trial in a real war rather than on a range/lab in Britian - just makes sense to me. Britain has apparently pushed the range to 2.1 miles. It's probably surpasses that by now however. UK plans to have in on a new class of warship in 2027. Ukraine needs the weapon to work for its survival so it just makes sense to share tech with a friend in need on what might just might, be a true game changer. BTW UK has hit a target as small as a £1 coin at a range of 1 mile. Interesting to see what a now joint Ukrainian/British team combined might end up developing from these early steps.

That is exactly what an energy weapon is. To put it very simply: it is a cannon that produces its own "projectile". And every time a Shaheed drone is shot down with a laser, for example, it saves the ammunition that would otherwise have to be used with conventional weapons. A "laser cannon" is essentially a long-range laser cutter. And against fiber-optic-guided drones - a laser could also be effective there. All that would have to be done is to cut the fiber-optic cable and the drone would no longer be able to receive or send anything. As soon as you see the drone and in which direction it is moving, you know roughly where the cable is, because the drone is pulling the cable behind it and part of the cable - depending on the drone's flight altitude - will always be in the air behind the drone and would only have to be cut.

I would love to see a video about what missiles Ukraine has developed. I find Ukraine's unique ability to imagine weapons or ways to solve a problem fascinating. You said you had never pictured yourself with your own KZbin Channel and 260 thousand followers. I never thought I would be checking in daily on how things are going in Ukraine and staying on for at minimum 2 hours. I have been a student of history since I was 14 and aside from college classes I researched whatever I found interesting. I know more about medieval weapons and war strategies and would critique movies and books after I saw or read them and drove my friends crazy and the the same with WW ll. If it weren't for the kindness of a gentleman from the Czech Republic I would still be asking dumb questions about weapons. He kindly, via KZbin comments, would list the weapon used in WW 2 and what it is called now or what replaced it. That was in the early days of the war when KZbin had very few rules, it was a free for all with comments exchanged and names of Russian molls shared so where ever they went someone found them. I think I made a few of them cry. Then KZbin developed a strict attitude and ruined the exchange of comments for all of us. Now we have to put up with the trolls.

Australia announces restoration of Embassy in Kyiv after an almost three-year absence. Good news following upon recent decisions to donate 49 Abrams tanks and multiple Australian-built Mk.82 500lb JDAM-ER glide bombs to Ukraine. Previously, Australia had provided Ukraine with 20 Bushmaster armoured vehicles and 30 other armoured personnel carriers and Javelin anti-tank missiles. In July 2024, Australian Defence announced a further donation of unspecified air-to-ground weapons as part of a $250 million package. Total donations from Australia to Ukraine now total more then $1.5 billion in value. Slava Ukraine.

I am an American and my heart goes out to the Ukrainian people. I can't imagine what they are going through. Was an unprovoked war and many people lost their lives for absolutely no good reason. I wish the Ukrainian people luck and hope the war ends soon .

Russian state energy giant Gazprom saw its shares plummet to a 16-year low on Tuesday, the RBC news website reported, as an agreement that has allowed Russian gas to flow to Europe through Ukraine was set to expire in two weeks. Gazprom, once Russia’s most profitable company, lost around $7 billion in 2023 as Europe cut purchases of Russian gas by more than 90% following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine the year before.
