Every single Ukrainian, regardless if they are in the military or not, are all not just heroes - but all incredibly and powerfully inspiring people!! I’ve been following this war longer than most (for better or worse), and not a day goes by where I don’t see yet another unbelievable act of selflessness, kindness, courage, or compassion on levels I’ve never seen my whole life (and I’ve been around)!! What is happening to these people are some of the most absurd and outrageous crimes against humanity the world has ever seen, equaling and in many cases exceeding those committed by the Nazis and Soviets over 80 years ago!! The whole world should be coming to the aid of these people, taking on whatever sacrifices are necessary to bring this unjust and deranged invasion to an end, and ensure that those responsible suffer, and suffer dearly…

I love these Ukrainian Warriors. I have followed Roman on Voices for Ukraine since he began posting content and he's so wonderfully brave but then all if these young defenders are brave. I recall Karya's bloody face in that helmet when he had to eject. I'm not as familiar with Vadim and Suzanska but they are so brave.. I'm so sorry that Suzanska has lost a brother. True heroes these young people and All Ukrainians who have joined in the War. A remarkable Country filled with Amazing people! 100%. Unfortunately, this mentality proves to be a double-edged sword for some. It provides the clarity and focus on the battlefield that one needs to perform well and survive, but it’s not a switch that can be easily flipped once the war is over, and doesn’t offer the same (none) advantages in civilian life.

There's a lady called Natalia fighting in the Bakhmut area that you should interview. Her son Pavel did his compulsory military service in Belarus in 2014 but as soon as he'd completed it he went to Ukraine to join the Belarusian volunteers fighting in the Donbas and by 2017 he was a unit commander in the Ukrainian Army. Unfortunately, Pavel was killed sometime after that having previously been injured on three separate occasions but having always returned to the front line as soon as possible to be with his men. Despite being in her mid-fifties, Natalia's reaction in the wake of the Russian invasion in 2022 was to leave her settled life behind and go to Ukraine to take her son's place. She is serving as a paramedic in the Teror Battalion of the Kastus Kalinousky Regiment on the western outskirts of Bakhmut, fighting to keep the Road of Life open alongside her compatriots. Her call sign is "Volata", Belarusian for Giant.

I was a US Marine infantry platoon commander in the war of Vietnam. We were on operations from 30 to 60 days in combat. We did not bath, we had no expectations of resupply and so one meal had to last 2-3 days because ammunition was more important than food or water. We were in firefights, we were subject to friendly fires because of a lack of communication, and we had accidents due to accidents. My experience was not as intense as the videos, but my brother's experience as a Marine commander working as an advisor with the South Vietnamese was far more intensive than what I see on these videos. My brother was severely wounded to the point that the Corpsman (ie Medic) told the medical personnel on the evacuation helicopter that he didn't think my brother would make it. But he did and he retired as an Marine Colonel from the US Marine Corps, and to this day he is 81 years old and still as strong as an Ox. I'm 77 years old and not as strong as my brother, but still getting along good.

They have this incredible mindset which I also see in these soldiers. The woman who lost her baby when the war started and whose husband had just been called up, asked how she felt, said He’s got to go, we’ve got to defend our home. But the one that really shook me was the guy in a mental care facility saying he didn’t feel equipped to go back to the front but if called he would have to go and his carer said We will take care of them when the war is over but right now they’ve got to fight. Impossible to imagine that sort of desperation, determination and courage. Putin had no idea what he was doing when he took on these people. I hope all these soldiers survive. They are all inspiring. Sweet Roman whose vids I am familiar with (so relieved he only has concussion) and the unbelievably brave and competent air pilots. Give them the F-16s. Not in a few months time. They need them now to save their soldiers’ lives. The frustration must be enormous. 🇺🇦🇺🇦💪🇺🇦🇦🇺
