As a person who worked in a large international company with a huge bureaucracy system, I easily recognize the point of this plan. It is exactly what a manager with a failing project would do: acknowledge the problem in front of the superiors, give a solution with requirements for funds and resources that never can be met by the organization. When the project fails, he can always say: "I asked for this, this and this in order to make the project to happen, but I got only so many percent of required. So, not my fault".

1. Ukraine doesn't have another half million troops without tanking what's left of the economy. Even if they did it would make no difference in a war of attrition if the other side can mobilise 5 times more. Nor are refugees illegally in the countries they've fled to. It's called being a refugee. They can't be forced back without tearing up the ECHR and Refugee Convention. 2. Air defence in NATO countries shooting down Russian planes over Ukraine is WW3. Lunacy. 3. Private contractors going into a warzone where their employers are losing? Some might, most won't. Or are you talking about mercenaries paid by the West? Then they are in effect NATO troops so WW3. 5. Good luck getting Z to stand for elections. 6. Sell that to Polish farmers. 9. They don't want to be Ukrainian. 10. Forced artificial insemination? Nothing else would have any impact on the demographics, especially after you've bumped off all the young men in point 1. This plan is as delusional as Zelensky's, especially points 1 and 2.

Corruption in Ukraine is weaved through the fabric of society. It is the unofficial tax normalizing wages. Bribes are the norm, not the exception. When I lived there you passed money under the table for getting the water turned on, for checking your luggage, for seeing a doctor, for practically everything. Why normalizing, because officially, a physician is payed $500/month while the hospital director $800/month. Having said that, 3 out of 4 aid trucks actually make it to the destination.

Point no. 9 of your plan concerning "international support of Ukrainian civilians in occupied regions" one could argue is too naive and ignores the realities that transpired in the last decade. The nationalistic UA government as well the western sphere have repeatedly demonstrated that they don't care about the wellbeing of the Russian-speaking population in the east. Rather the opposite is the case. The civilian population was shelled repeatedly which was for the large part ignored by the western media. If they really cared, they could have proposed support years ago. Instead the mantra of the 'unprovoked' war of aggression is being chanted constantly on all channels. They try to pretend that the oppression never existed. Heck, Zelensky's so-called 'peace plan' is only talking about resources that can be shared as spoils of war when they take the territories back. They don't care about and don't mention the civilians or how they feel. They only care about the territory and the resources they can exploit in the future.

It's more hilarious than that, the Ukrainians actually thought they could force the Russians who have lived there for centuries out. 😂😂😂 Problem is, if that did happen, there are no Ukrainians to fill up those cities. Willy, your points are not in any way better or more concrete than Zelensky's delirium. Anyway, these are my rather short thoughts about both. Zelensky's mental diarrhea: 1. The war started BECAUSE of Ukraine's NATO (potential/future) membership. Insisting on this is beyond absurd. 2. Long-range strikes into Russia could quickly escalate into a nuclear war. IMO the most logical way for Russia to retaliate is to shoot down western satellites both to reduce their targeting capabilities and as a way to punish them. This is the final step before both sides start launching nukes. And further "military operations on Russian territory"? 20 000 ukrainian casualties within a month or two with nothing to show for them are not enough? 3. Russia has already said and proved they can not be "contained". In fact this has the effectiveness as waving a red flag in front of a raging bull in an attempt to calm it down. 4. "Joint protection of resources" LOL. Nice euphemism for "please, I'll give you for free everything my country has, just keep my hairy bottom safe". 5. This has to be a joke. And looking at your 3 (or 10) points: 1. Ukraine had close to 1 million soldiers at the start of the war, vastly better motivated and armed, and with much better fortifications in place. What would 500k more do, except... die? 2. Between depletion of AD systems in the West itself, dire need for AD for Israel, Ukraine's inability to use those system to their fullest potential, lack of Ukraine's trained personnel to use them, lack of Ukraine's ability to repair them, and the economic crisis the EU is entering, how do you see that happening? 3. Needs money, people, and gear. Ukraine lacks all, the EU is entering an economic crisis so they can't spare any of the 3, the US will not go digging trenches in Ukraine, that's beyond obvious. 4. Counter corruption? And what, you will jail the (ex) president and all of the top military and government leaders and officials? At best you will stop the little work that is being done even now, at worst many of those will happily go to Russia with whatever documents and secrets they can grab to ensure their own survival. 5. Same as above. 6. And ruin the EU economies even further? Even now in every eastern european EU country the farmers are close to starting open riots because of concessions being done to ukrainian agricultural imports. While I'm all for us to "Marie Antoinette" our current leaders, there are better ways to do it. 7. Internal/external guarantees? How do you see that working? Internal - the US and EU installing their own Gestapo to monitor Ukraine and silence all dissent? Very democratic lol! And external guarantees? Like going to war with Russia? If they wanted they would have done it already. 8. This is a given. Western hypocrisy never disappoints so this is 100% guaranteed. 9. How? Invade Russia to "support" them? And why do you think they need or want your support? The majority of people in Eastern Ukraine consider themselves russian. 10. Deport ukrainian immigrants back to Ukraine? Yeah, too bad that ukrainian refugees are actually educated people willing to work, and the rest of the "refugees" in the West - not so much. You can absolutely forget about it. Unless you are talking about a far too cynical way to "help the demographics" in Ukraine that I don't think is appropriate for me to write about it.

Willy what are you on? The reason those millions of men ran from Ukraine at the beginning of the war is that they had zero interest in fighting this war and for many it is a war that they totally disagree with. In fact many would side with Russia as the Ukrainian Government had introduced discriminatory laws that persecuted those that follow the Orthodox Russian Christian faith and spoke a language other that Ukrainian as their first language. Most would assume this only affects those that were ethnically Russian in eastern oblasts. but it goes further than that, there are districts on the Romanian border where they use Romanian as their primary language, and also on the Hungarian border where they use Hungarian as their primary language and there might be others. Also it was the current Ukrainian government and the one formed after the 2014 election (US coup), that introduced national holidays celebrating the Ukrainian Nazi collaborators of world war II that were responsible for killing between 1,000,000 and 1,500,000 Jews, Poles, and those that opposed the current Ukrainian government at that time. To this day there is still some animosity between Poland and Ukraine because of this. Also it is now a criminal act to denigrate or say anything bad about these Ukrainian Nazi's or the museum displays set up in their honour. Now Willy give me one good reason why many of those Ukrainians that fled from Ukraine would want to return and fight for a government that has done and supports the above. The majority of Ukrainians are appalled by what the Nazis and their collaborators did in Ukraine, why would they return and fight for a government that celebrates them? Add to that that there was no need for this war as an agreement had been reached that was agreeable to the Ukrainian and Russian negotiating teams that would have secured ALL Ukrainian territory without a single shot being fired and yet Zelensky opposed it for the sole purpose of the possibility of joining NATO. Again willy why would any Ukrainian man who fled Ukraine want to fight a war when a simple signature would have stopped it before it even started and ensured the full integrity of Ukraine? Willy, you should be absolutely ashamed of yourself agreeing that these men left Ukraine illegally and should be forced to return and fight a war they do not agree with or have absolutely no hope of winning but an absolute certainty of dying in,

All this ignores the fact that Russia inherited a massive stockpile of weaponry from all the USSR stocks, plus it's economy is on a war footing in contrast to other Western countries which are basically giving what they can spare. Russia has always had a reserve production capacity with factories sitting idle just waiting for a phone call. No Western country has that sort of reserve manufacturing arrangement. North Korea has a continuing war economy so imagine what their reserves and production capacity are like. Try comparing like to like instead of playing bot games eh.

10. At the end of the Soviet Union union and was at 1991 or so they did absolutely nothing to improve their society. They consumed all their improvement funds via corruption. They could’ve built a complete munitions industry. Instead, they stole the money.V One must ask the question, why would a country get into a conflict purposely with Russia and that country had no military industrial complex. In other words, they can’t build the weapons to protect themselves. That is idiotic to get into a war. A nation that would depend on other nations for munitions and equipment, 100% should never even think of getting into a war with anyone for any reason . Do you remember when US was leavng Afghanistan and the afghan government and army surrendered instantly. People in the west were calling them out for not fighting. At the same time the american generals were going on TV and saying they expected them to fight for 3 more months so they can evacuate properly. They knew afghan government will fall in 3 months if they fought, but they insisted on it. in 3 months, thousands of soldiers would have died only for Taliban to come to power anyways. So why waste life fighting when you can see clearly that you are losing. They did what common sense dicatates, they saved lives and infrastructure by not fighting a lost war. Zelensky has to understand that. Ukraine is losing people, Ukraine is losing land, Ukraine is losing infrastructure. If they go for negotiations Russia is getting what they want. That is the reality of it, so what is the end goal here? Ukraine will most likely lose the 4 Oblasts and Crimea so why lose people on top of that? end the war and cut your loses. Armenia did that, they fought for as long as the war was on Azeri land, but the moment Azeri soliders were at the outskirts of Spatenakert (Capital of Nagorno-Karabagh), they negotiated, the city was spared, the people were spared, Plenty of Armenian soliders didnt die. they could have fought but they would still have lost, but they made the reasonable decision. Instead of losing lives and land, the settle for losing land while saving people. That is why Armenians were fine with the decision. You're right, they shouldn't die in a "losing war"... maybe Russia shouldn't have invaded then? Like what's your point; that they shouldn't defend their home country when it's under invasion? The logical conclusion of your argument is: if there are a massive group of people coming towards you, with the intent of making you submit to their authority, you should just give in and roll over for them because you might lose. Who genuinely thinks that's an acceptable thing to do? Should we just roll over when any authority that seems more powerful to us than ourselves tells us to do something? If Russia hadn't invaded the country in the first place there would be no mass casualties, but somehow people supporting Ukraine should feel responsible for the deaths of Ukrainian service members defending their country from a country which is run by a handful of oligarchs? What a stupid take.

I'd not be surprised if Russia pursues some pretty brutal war reparations at the end of the conflict, which see's Ukraine losing far more than was initially on the negotiating table back in 2022, Russia has spent a lot of blood and resources in this fight and will likely be looking to shove it in the face of Ukraine's western backers when all the fighting done, by demanding the nations silverware on top of what were there original stated goals... The notion of Ukraine completely losing black sea access and the land up to Transnastria is I think a serious possibility at this point...

Willy, your "realistic victory plan" sounds equally as much as a "wish list" as Zelensky's "plan", and at some point you will have to come to the realization that everything that could've been done has already been done, and that sometimes one just simply loses because they got outclassed. Such is life sometimes. 1. "We want to mobilize 500.000 people, help us do it". That's not a plan Willy, that's a wish. There is not a clear set of steps here that need to be taken in order for that to be achieved. You will need a detailed list of economic reforms that would allow this to happen, not to mention financial and patriotic incentives for refugees to even consider coming back to the country, let alone come back and fight. You can't just decide to mobilize half a million people. How popular would this decision be in the Ukrainian public? On top of that, you say that Ukrainians would need Western help with this. What kind of help? Training? What kind of training can a NATO officer offer to a Ukrainian soldier? How to raid a mud hut in Afghanistan? Sure I guess, don't know how much that would help. Help with deportation? Well that they can certainly try. So right off the bat, the first point is completely unrealistic and resembles a wish list. 2. "AD support". I mean, are we going to pretend that NATO hasn't delivered AD systems to Ukraine in large quantities? Just because they weren't enough, doesn't mean that they didn't send a lot, and directly using NATO territory for shooting down Russian assets is a road that nobody wants to go down, therefore, will never happen, which in turn makes it a wish, not a plan. 3. Sure, I guess they can build even more fortifications, but that isn't what the problem is for Ukraine and you know it. It's not the absence of trenches and bunkers that's the issue, it's the lack of means of defending them. So, to me this looks redundant, and doesn't address the core issues. 4-5. Please, who in the Ukrainian government is going to campaign for the elimination of corruption, and who is going to help them with that? The EU? The US? You don't know who's more corrupt out of those 2, how in the world are they going to eliminate corruption, and besides, why would they? It's money in their pockets, and political favors that they can call upon at a later time. Same goes for "Support for Democratic process". I would love to see Zelensky, as unpopular as he is, enable elections again. I mean this transcends the realms of a wish at this point. This is the equivalent of a child writing a letter to Santa. 6. Ok, sure, this somewhat resembles a plan. 7. So you say here, "Security from external threats like Russia, no matter how the war ends" So, if Russia decisively wins, somehow you're gonna militarily defend against Russia. What? "Security from internal threats" will be solved of course by some vague "Upholding of democratic process". And what if the extremist nationalist elements in Ukraine oppose this, and they forcefully attack this "democratic process" like they did in 2014, then what? What's the plan here Willy? Don't you think the elimination of these extremist elements in Ukraine need to be dismantled and legal entities and severely prosecuted in the court of law? Don't you think the monuments to these extremists need to be dismantled, and the propaganda efforts to whitewash their crimes needs to be stopped? You see how this sounds more like a concrete plan to stabilize the country, rather than some vague wish list like "Support for democratic process". Btw this is precisely what "Denazification" is. 8-9. It has to be some sick joke, that this is still talked about in this light, as if the people in the Donbass/Crimea are somehow "occupied". These people, who have suffered extensively under the Ukrainian rule, are finally able to escape that, and yet their right to choose here is being trampled by some so called "Champions of Democracy", who of course support someone's right for self determination only if that fits their geo political agenda. This is just disgraceful. Besides what does "International recognition" of where the borders are even mean? What tangible consequences are for that, besides in public discourse? 10. Ah whatever I've ranted long enough and my fingers hurt.

We're now having to build housing for our largely imported excess population in our countryside. The shortage of people to do essential jobs here is partly a result of the dumbing-down of post-16 education to place an extra million and a half yearly in universities, also increasing our unsustainable immigration. Germany's drop in industrial production (40% I read) is a result of their regime's capitulation to US demands to end reliance on cheap Russia fuel. The EU has spent nearly a trillion euros extra on higher fuel costs due to this, making their products less competitive. The only accurate statement in you comment was the aging population in Europe. Still no justification for importing vast numbers of incompatible foreigners who cause other problems. The economic war on Russia did backfire.

Your victory plan is not better. * Mobilization: the people cna not be forced - not when they can just get Russian citizenship - and you lack the time to train them. * Air Defense: NOT possible - simply not enough equipment. Also, as long as this happens from non-Ukraine territory, range is a problem. But mostly the equipment and production do not exist. * Fortifications: How? Like when. Time is critical here and Ukraine needs that now. You can not build large fortifications in weeks. Those would have to happen on the western side of the Dniepr - because that is the nearest place you have the time to build them. * Corruption: That is core because seriously, the fortification side HAS been eaten by that. This would take time - and this time does not exist. * Democratic processes: Neither time nor material exists and the only reason this is not falling apart, Ukraine wise, is that they do not do that. * Price guarantee: That is essentially a money dump. Thay may make sense, but it is useless in a short term timeframe. * Security: ok * Non-Recognition of occupied borders: Gratulations, you just killed it. Russia CAN NOT allow this to stand after their referendums - there is a constitution in the way. * International support for Ukrainians... not that many there, really. Most have taken Russian passports, but it is a good point. * Demographic support: have fun with that one. This is managing of too few people on every side. So, it is maybe a template for a post-war scenario - but it will not bring peace, which is what Zelynski tries with his "into NATO now" (bluffing Russia). And the border issue is a killer. You are NOT having a victory plan either - you have a Peace plan, or post victory plan, or post surrender plan. It will NOT lead to victory or peace.

Sound like a plan, better than Zelenski. Just a few comments. 1) The civilians in the current occupied areas are over 80% Russian, ethnically, culturally, religiously, etc, etc. So it is the Russians, protecting and dealing with Zelenski's terror and tiranary on Russian people. Those regions should have never been part of Urkaine Federation when Urkaine asked for its independance from Russia, but we can't undo the past. What the west can do, is right a wrong, which nobody in the west is willing to anything about other than gasbagging and obviously their agenda is to let Russians suffer. 2) Even if you round up Ukrainians in EU, they are demoralized and will not fight, even if they are forced to go fight by some laws or similar tirany moves like Hitler and Stalin did in the day. If you compare that with highly motivated Russians, you are already sending free people to their death for what cause, just so the Ukraine and west don't lose face? Just over some border which should not have been there in the 1st place? 3) Why don't the west give Zelenski some ultimatum also, like he is constantly threatening the west with this and that because he wants Nato to join the war. Tell him to stop the war, OR.... Stop his support, sanction them, like the west did to the Russians. Look at the mess he is creating in Europe for all of Europe, and he wants to join NATO and EU with that attitude and values of a let me say that german political party we can't name... 4) Zelenski is threating to use nukes, can you imagine what will happen then? That is no victory. Russia will wipe his country from the face of this earth if even 1 nuke lands in Russia, that I am sure of. He is delusional, and should step down immediately. Once cannot allow trigger happy people with Nukes.

That is literally the first thing on the list of each peace treaty - who withdraws from where, what is the demarcation line and any other stipulations regarding territory. Moreover most of the civilians left in Eastern Ukraine are russians themselves or people who view Russia as liberators. If Ukraine wins, there will have to be guarantees of no forced depopulation, requisitions of their property and violence against them. The EU is behind in the world, and Finland is the bottom guy in the EU. Europe is running out of time to prevent its decline - Bloomberg - It is reported that the EU is on the brink of serious upheaval, facing "political paralysis", external threats, and an economic crisis that threatens its global ambitions. Among the alarming signals are the significant rise in popularity of far-right movements, closure of car factories in Germany, departure of IT giants due to AI restrictions, and low productivity growth. Europe is already significantly behind U.S. and China in terms of resources. The decline of Europe's role as a global player risks becoming unstoppable after decades of growth. Bloomberg specifies that European countries could benefit from trade deals with Russia to boost living standards once again. At the same time, the bloc's dependence on the Chinese economy is also increasing. Macron complained that the loss of cheap Russian fuel is no longer allowing Europe's economy to thrive. One of Ukraine's strongest allies has spent five times as much on Russian oil and gas as it has on aid to Kyiv-which, analysts argue, has helped to "finance the Russia's SMO." On Monday, the Center for the Study of Democracy and the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air published a report on European powers' continued dependence on Russian fossil fuels. Titled "Tapping the Loophole," the report outlined how the Czech Republic had taken advantage of its exemption to the European Union's ban on importing Russian oil and petroleum products. The exemption was made to give landlocked central European countries-such as Czechia, Hungary and Slovakia-the opportunity to phase out their use of Russian oil over a longer period as they searched for new fuel supply routes. However, according to the two think tanks, Czechia "exploited" this loophole, as well the resulting discounts on Russian crude oil, to increase its imports last year-which rose to 60 percent of Czechia's oil imports in 2023, up from 56 percent in 2022. In the first quarter of 2024, this reliance decreased to preinvasion levels of below 50 percent. However, the Czech Republic is still purchasing large quantities of oil and gas from Russia, undercutting the wider sanctioning efforts against the country. Czechia has spent more than 7 billion euros ($7.62 billion) on Russian oil and gas since the SMO began, more than five times the 1.29 billion euros it has provided in aid to Ukraine, the report said, citing figures from the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. According to the think tanks' estimates, the country's continued reliance on Russian energy has netted Russia more than 2.3 billion euros in tax revenues since February 2022.

EU backs down and offers to buy Russia a beer. (UE has a regular quickie in the car park with Russia so it doesn’t want to offend them) NATO tries to look hard but stays at its own table. NATO is a bit tired and confused lately and doesn’t want to get into a bar room brawl. UK is a bit drunk after a pint of Brexit and sits at Ukraines table, and glares at Russia. EU goes over to Russia’s table and tries talking. Russia makes them sit at the end of the table. Both of them talk in English. The UK starts laughing. NATO sends Ukraine a beer. Ukraine says thanks. The EU offers Ukraine a bandage for after Russia hits them. Ukraine glares at EU. NATO says Russia is going to slap Ukraine before the beers arrive. The beers arrive and Russia still hasn’t slapped Ukraine. Everyone laughs at NATO. The EU goes back to the Russian table and says it’s sorry about everything and it still wants it’s Saturday night quickie in the car park. NATO moves to Polands table and hopes Russia takes a hint and leaves Ukraine alone. Meanwhile, taking advantage of the tension in the bar, China glares at Taiwan. NATO looks uncomfortable. Ukraine gets some beer spilt on its table. NATO says Russia did it, but Russia says Ukraine spilt its own beer and its NATOs fault for giving it to Ukraine, ignoring the fact that Ukraine has a table full of beers bought for it when Russia and Ukraine were dating…
