Is there a relationship between adverbial forms and the neuter singular form of the related adjective? They seem to match in quite a few instances. The most obvious one (for me) are the adverbs describing the air temperature, how loud something is: these adverbs aren't modifying or attached to a verb, an adjective, or another adverb; instead, they seem more like an adjective describing a very generalized "it" - a non-specific thing or condition, and that sort of "thing" naturally fits into the category of a neuter singular noun: "It is hot" "it is loud" "it is cold" - those all fit more into the definition of an adjective rather than an adverb. However, the "thing" that they describe is so vague and generalized, they don't really fit into the concept of "adjective", so as a kind of grammatical compromise, they're deemed to be adverbs. I'd describe them as being more accurately "adverbatives", except that isn't a grammatical category. Trying to figure out what they are is impossible and confusing, but so is trying to figure out why they're adverbs when they don't exactly fit into that category either. Like so much in language learning, it's simply another thing to memorize, without having a complete explanation (because a complete explanation isn't possible). That's not a complaint, just an observation.

Thank you for this lesson! Are there are any adverbs of frequency that obligatorily take the perfective aspect?

Could you tell us some time about adjectives that obligatorily take the perfective aspect, and ones that obligatorily take the imperfective aspect?

Adverbs are great--learn your first one, and you have doubled the number of sentences that you can say, since some adverbs can combine with almost any verb!

Hi! Than you for this video. A very beginner's question: What is the difference between the pronunciation of " a " and " á "? I cannot hear it, maybe 'á' is pronounced with a bit more emphasis.

Yes, exactly, a stressed vowel in Ukrainian is a bit longer and louder than unstressed vowels in the word
