Ukrainian army is defending Marinka, a town roughly 30 kilometers from Russian-occupied Donetsk

Almost from the very beginning of the full-scale invasion, Marinka, a small town in the Donetsk region, has been at the epicenter of fierce fighting. The Russians have been storming in and retreating, but eventually managed to gain a foothold in part of the town. Ukrainian paratroopers continue to hold Marinka. In the town, fierce battles occur not just for every house - sometimes even for every story of a building, as the fighters of the Air Assault Brigade say.
Entry to the city itself is restricted for security reasons.
hromadske visited the positions of the 79th Air Assault Brigade, which recently took part in the battles inside the town. Some of them prefer not to recall how it was - to repel Russian attacks in Marinka.

What an excellent report. I like that reporter a lot ... when the soldiers fall silent, she doesn't try to fill the gap by just saying something (usually something stupid), like most reporters would. She just keeps quiet until someone else says something and starts the flow again. That's the way to get the most authentic results. Also ... Marinka really must have been something. Compared to most other soldiers I have seen on this channel, those guys are really quiet and subdued. It is a wise decicion to see a psychologist, after the victory. Most of them appear traumatised. They’re more resilient than you give them credit for…having supportive colleagues and brothers and sisters you can talk to is the biggest predictor of overcoming trauma and resulting healing from PTSD, which these guys and gals appear to have. Chill a bit eh? They signed up for this…🤷🏼‍♂️🌻🇺🇦

Thank you very much. This was an interesting story to watch. I really liked this reporter asking a variety of questions of the different guys she came in contact with. Interesting to see how they "live" in a shelter, with chargers for their phones, equipment, heat, water to try to keep clean/healthy, and food to cook. I am very surprised to see what good moods they appeared to be in. That could be because the camera was on them, I don't know. I can not imagine what they men/women fighting for Ukraine are actually living with. I hope Ukraine can get it's hands on some better equipment REAL SOON, start clearing the Russians out of their country. Putin and his pals, Generals, all need to be tried for war crimes. Thank you folks for getting this information out to us.

It's just so sad to see Ukraine turn into looking like a wasteland. Most likely these soldiers were just young civilians prior to the war that now have to be brave warriors! My heart breaks for what has been taken away from Ukrainians. They will never get their innocence back & will lose a part of themselves from what they've witnessed & experienced. Вижу ,, что здесь наделали российские солдаты, не приветствую здесь своих земляком, да ,я не разговариваю на Украинской мове, но за столько лет проживания в Украине, естествено все понимаю, причем мне все равно с западной или восточной Украины, жена естественно украинка, дочь, внучка, мне не хочется чтобы они пострадали из-за чьей-то дурасти. Город мой русско говорящий, я , земляк нашего призедента. Вот такие дела. В Москве я , был крайний раз в 2019 году. А многие мои друзья, с кем я ездил на рыбалки, уехали добровольцами, знаю, что они правы, Как могу потдерживаю их. Не ваше дело , что у нас в стране, последние мое мнение, наш путь только в Европу и в НАТО. Сам служил в ЗабВо, в Монголии, в танковых войсках. Мне уже 71 , можешь сказать, старый морозматик, но я абсолютно при памяти. Да ,мне нне нравятся такие как фарион.

Yes! "The healing mud of Donbass" I believe that most Russians would be healed of their pain and anguish once they are buried in it! . . . What a lovely and I'm sure uplifting giggle the journalist gave, these Ukrainians do keep their sense of humor well-honed! The paratrooper @6:10 has it correctly, the Russians are virtually slaves in most ways! The soldier was shocked to be enlisted, but not as shocked as the Russians will be when he 'rains down on them.' The guys seem in good spirits even though they are tired, 2hrs only would not be anything like enough for me, I guess they must all be running on adrenalin and basic but good healthy food, and the love for their country! Brave and determined people are the Ukrainian people, masters of their destiny! Bravo heroes! Slava Ukraine! 💙💛

You notice how russian media never lets the soldiers talk very much? They show you a very short video of some person with a gun, maybe he shouts something, and then the news does all the talking. Its a very important difference. They know they have nothing to say, and that russians don't care anyway. The fact that these get so many views and comments, without much fighting action , is an encouraging sign. People do care about Ukraine and it's people, and want to hear what they have to say. While nobody cares for the russians, not even their own mothers.
