I just love your videos, they are so useful. I watch all you amazing ukrainian language youtubers, but your videos are so thorough, structured and full of theory and examples, I use them as reference material and go back and watch them as a supplement between the weekly lessons with my teacher.

Yaaas, thank you!! 😱🙌🏻 been struggling a lot with genitive (cases in general but some are easier than others) . My native language uses Genitive too, but Ukrainian uses it in different contexts though. Do keep making these! ❤️ hugs 🤗🤗

Cool, really glad to read this! I'm also excited about this series in a way for even as a native speaker I'm discovering some new details about my language! Plus, there's never too many videos about cases, that's impossible :) *Hugs*

Very informative, дякую for these lessons! I just discovered you today. I wasn't sure where or how to begin learning about cases, so what I've done is take the script of an English video, plug it into Translate (which I know isn't completely accurate) and tried to make sense of it. Fortunately, this has confirmed that I was already on the right track to understanding cases. Дякую, thank you so much, Olya!! I've subscribed! 😊❤

@@LetsLearnUkrainian since I have nobody else to ask do you mind recommending some classic Ukraine child tv shows? I have currently the situation that my parents in law are regullary sheltering refugees. So far noone , except a 13 year old boy, speaks English. Thats why I'm learning. I happen to learn a lot through tv and media and it might also be a nice solution for the children to watch something familiar once in a while Sorry to bother you but i have absolutly noone to ask (who speaks english). And Google is no big help

How can you tell if the nouns are fem, masc, or neuter? Or sing. or plural? It would be great to have the answers explained. I got just over half of these :(
@LetsLearnUkrainian Жыл бұрын
You can tell from the typical endings. I suggest, you get familiar with the topic of Noun gender before getting into cases, because the gender question will come up a lot

Can you tell me why and when the б is used in a sentence?
@LetsLearnUkrainian2 жыл бұрын
There are a few instances when б/би can be used to create conditional verbs: я прийшла б, якби ти запросила (I would come, if you have invited me). Якби ти це сказав, вона засмутилась би (if you have said it, she'd be upset)

Your lessons great teacher 🤍 Can you please clear my doubts хороший студент , світла кімната , чисте вікно Genitive case in both singular and plural form Can you please clear my doubt teacher?
Please, what is the difference of the words поразок and поразк in the sentences: 1. Не треба боятися поразок 2. Вона зробила спробу і зазнала поразки. Sorry, It seems to me that in both sentences you said that the genitive would be in English the same word "failure".
@LetsLearnUkrainian3 жыл бұрын
Yes, both of these words come from поразка which means "failure" and yes, both are in genitive. However, in the first sentence the word in plural and in the second its singular.

As I stated in the very beginning of the video, the main focus of this one is the usage of Genitive Case. I have posted the video on endings of Genitive Case (an other cases) in another one of my video series.
