There are reasons why it's a war crime to use gas. For example a country can claim they just used tear gas when in fact it was something else. That's why all gas is banned from the battle field.

In the case of tear gas I believe it's documented Ukraine forces where the first to use them. Early in the war I saw at the least a video of Ukraine using it. Even if Russia usia first Ukraine soon started using as well.

Ukraine has a lot to lose by violating these treaties they signed, so they’ve been very careful NOT to do that in order to keep a clean reputation for entry into NATO. You russian trolls keep trying to tarnish Ukraine’s rep, but it will never work. Ukraine will always be reliable and dependable, and the russians are known for breaking their promises, breaking the treaties they signed, and generally just being about as untrustworthy as any country on Earth. But yeah, russia has been using them. They’ve also been using thermal munitions, such as white phosphorus - also banned. But there is plenty of video proof as well as physical evidence that russia has been using those too. Ukraine is keeping track of everything, Ivan. Also, russian, the Ukrainian offensive in 2023 took 297 km2. The russians took 275 since then. So, the Ukrainjan summer offensive has liberated more territory in a few months than your russian army could take in about 8 months. Looks like the russians are the true “ooky” ones here.
