Check the mapping. Russian forces have been crumpling the western side of the Kursk salient while continuing to advance in other areas. Making it was an accomplishment, holding it is proving harder.

They would capture hundreds of conscripts. Weird statement. Russia had promised its population that conscripts would not be used as combat troops. Volunteers signed up to fight are the ones fighting in Ukraine for Russia By invading Russian territory they knew they were facing 18 year olds on 1 years compulsory military service who apparently fought very well.

Please help me understand why the western allied leaders do not see that all they are doing by procrastinating on firm action is allowing Putin to build up his forces. The longer we wait, the more ready he will be.
