Luhansk front is a weird way to call it. The city of Luhansk is more than 100 km away from the closet part of it, and while I get that most of it is within the Luhansk oblast the front also goes to the Kharkiv and Donetsk oblasts too. The Russians call it the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, so the Kupyansk-Lyman front while the Ukrainians also divide it into the Kupyansk and Lyman (sometimes also called Kreminna) directions, with sometimes also adding the Svatove direction. So in general I think it's better and more clear to call it the Kupyansk-Lyman front or maybe the Northeastern front but I guess it really doesn't matter in the end.

It could be a fake, but if you think of it, when an army fights such a heavy and bloody war for 2 years already, some commanders and troops might get mad. In old practices, units that got into such a state, would not be allowed to area with civilians until they get full rest and get their brains back into right place. It is not unusual in human history and it is important for command to take this into account.
