I don't get why everyone is claiming Ukraine is "crumbling" so soon. They have a massive border with Russia; it is literally impossible to properly man and defend every meter along the border. The sane and rational thing to do is set up more concentrated defenses in key hubs behind the border, so that in the event of an incursion it's possible to respond in force appropriately. Otherwise you are spread too thin to do anything. So while Russia has a wide incursion into Ukraine, it has no depth. It's mostly just empty, non-strategic space. It's just going to be a lot of small unit skirmishes along the border for a while, until Russia commits to a specific location, at which point Ukraine will then commit to counter. Nothing that is happening now is significant.
