the issue with most of these is speed of target acquisition they are way slower than a trained solider

I agree. But our new anti-sniper system in a large caliber now suppresses targets more effectively than a person - in a narrow sector of fire, it is able to wait for activity indefinitely, without fatigue and decreased attention, and a reaction speed of 0.2 seconds is enough to produce an effective shot. It must be remembered that the distance of a bullet flies from 1 to 3 seconds, depending on the destination. So, reaction speed is not the most important thing. The main thing is the striking caliber and fragmentation effect. It is best to use a mortar or tank gun.

@@100000ukr true, but a trained sniper never shoots more than a couple of rounds from a single position , so it should be good against poorly trained insurgents that are further than 990m away as it will take one RPG shot to disable any fixed target

@@mustafankamil1973 I agree. Therefore, the task is that the enemy sniper after the first shot does not have time to leave unscathed. Automatic programmed systems can handle this more efficiently than a real soldier. in addition, most often the targets are at a distance of up to 3 kilometers, and the RPG cannot be used.
