This is the "Anthem of Immortal Formation (military)", written in 1912 by Vasylʹ Pachovsʹkyĭ. This is not a poetic translation, more a direct one; I did my best in current circumstances. We are knights without fear and are immortal, Against the crime against the world without a hesitance, we will stand, We have taken an oath to overcome the destiny, Gods, to tear your death sentence! You have torn Ukraine into pieces (or quarters), And have put the immortal soul into shackles, But we have born to die for it (Ukraine), Gods, to tear your death sentence! No tanks, and no cannonades will scare us, We glorify truth, God, and the new world, Millions of tortured souls have cursed you, From generation to generation, their blood drives us to revenge.
