I like buying at support for a bounceback as well. For me I prefer taking the trade that has a previous defined swing low or high to the left. That way I can have a clear risk reward ratio to justify my trade.

I use price alerts. I put in the first and see if it's a flush, then a second it to come back to the price I'm waiting for. Then I decide if it's still a valid trade

I usually take trade on support with a tight stoploss, If it respects the level then good But if theres a flush then i re-enter again...still making some profits!!

I ran into this scenario today, the stocks volume was a mountain above its average on news, there was a pull back just like you’re describing. At the support level i thought about jumping in but then decided to wait for at least one more confirmation candle moving up, it confirmed but there was so much volatility it jumped up 50 cents before I could confirm the trade, I held and let it settle there then I got in. I ended up making 60 cents and an acceptable 30 minute profit but that little voice in the background kept saying “Ya know, if you went with your gut in the first place you would’ve pulled an extra 50 cents out of that” That pullback scenario is a mental battle. Im also gonna credit the market reaching new highs today for that win. On a down market day it probably would have crashed through support. Sometimes you’re just lucky.

Great Video. How much percentage away from the open gets your interest?

There is no discussion on that tbh. Just dont trade on the support/ resistance lvl. You allways wait for the flush and then rebound. On the NQ u will get crushed otherwhise. No flush, no trade simple as that. You have problems waiting or are impatient. Goodbye tradingcareer. Theye happen daily anyway on the NQ. NQ can provide with everything you need as a day trader. You dont need any other market. Oh and you dont go for 3r 4r's on the NQ😂😂😂. U just dont. Maybe at the opening on trending days or if you are planning to hold overnight ye. But 9 out of 10 the trading range on the day is not high enough. With exceptions of big trend days ofc. But then stil 3r and 4r is hardly realistic daytrading the NQ. Or anything else imho. Want 3r or 4r, u will go overnight and longer. And learn you wicks and big full candles high volume candles. Tapereading on the NQ, dont bother. Overnight session is extreemly important on the NQ.

Thank you Mark for price action trading course, I have a question please : How do you differentiate between flushing as a buying opportuinity after a downtrend and a breakout of a support first pullback strategy as a shorting trade ? I know it depends on price position but if there are some ticks to distinguish between both cases kindly clarify. Thank you!

I use ATR to determine when price is "too far" away from yesterdays close and take position there. Obviously I have a bias from the daily chart before taking that position. Trading Support resistance is more of an optical illusion and not used by pros.

Mate how do you use ATR to determine price? I only ever used ATR to determine where to put my stop loss

One thing I've noticed is how the predictability of the support can vary depending on if the London market is open only or if the New York and the London markets are open at the same time.

GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS! I got stuck in this a few times last week and it killed my account. I didn't put a stop in because I got tired of being stopped out. I decided to wait and it dropped rapidly. I decided to wait a very short bit and it kept dropping. I lost 4Xs and this happened twice. I don't like using stops too much but if I would have used them my account would have been saved. I'm not going to be looking at any trades when they're at the day's low anymore for this reason. Burned me too many times.

Just the video I needed. Currently watching the FTSE hit 7000 and bounce off but waiting for the pull back. your final example is exactly what it is currently doing and I myself thought I wont take the entry until the break of the high. Now waiting for the retest for an entry. Great Video.

Ok, my 2 cents regarding the Euro, it's a double top with less power than on the 3rd August, and, we are too late (very late), so my opinion which may also be wrong, is that the Euro should continue to go down...

This is my daily dilemma when price is approaching a level I want to do business at. I apply all the thoughts you mentioned but also regarding the higher low, I find its a high probability trade after a big sell off and a local bottom has been found, in crypto the .618 higher low is decent odds. Another consideration is how stretched price is coming to the level. Great video, the best on KZbin for content to length of video ratio.

This sort of range we had on EURUSD, so ugly, slow, bizarre... i can only say that everyone bought EUR before, and that an ECB statement won't change their mind... this ugly range was so unpredictable :-( And still the market is moving so slow.... strange.

The question is, who anticipated this move en the EURUSD ... ? i not... i was bearish. Now i learned something... after all.
