Sometimes there are more SL hunts than usual. Last week was really good and on monday I have been destroyed completley... Many times I thought something is different cause nothing works like previous week and it´s still a mystery. I try to not change my edge but I´m looking for an answer why those times appear in general. Sometimes volatility is just gone and SL hunts dominate the markets for a few days. Then suddenly as if there are humans again at the trading desk everything works out again.

Is buying support and selling resistance 'an edge'?

🧡💛💚💙 Great video but 99.99% of people watching this video have a downwards sideways PNL curve lol. They need to worry about making an edge let alone worrying about when it stops working 🧡💛💚💙

Do you mean stop working ultimately or mean stops working for awhile when conditions change?

great video as usual but here's the thing from my point of view, the way markets move (especially forex) don't seem like a distributed network of actors (market makers) but rather more like a centralized authorities organized perfectly to move the market single-handed, when an uptrend is formed where do you think the bears are? they're just sitting ahead watching the monitors? absolutely not, trading unlike investing depends on making as much profit as possible in both scenarios (uptrend&downtrend). the point is, the bears are the bulls themselves, the way market moves make you swear it's a monopoly game, driven by one single entity, otherwise nothing will make sense at all and trading will be worthless and absolutely unpredictable, there's always a pattern, this pattern existed 100 years ago and will still exist for another 100 years ago from now, there's no change in plans, only change in the way of representing the charts and adding more consolidations to cat-fish to form as much liquidity pools as possible, don't go after the cheese (famous candle-patterns, S&R, supply&demand, EAs), keep it simple and learn how to read the chart from a psychological approach, it's all there, market appears to be 80% of the time aimless, undetermined direction, they play on your nerves to make foolish trades, whether you're a buyer or seller, your money is endangered, good entry points DO exist where the determined 20% direction of the market appears, don't use a solid SL, make your SLs flexible and changeable throughout your trades, that helps minimize the losses greatly, aim for higher R:R ratio (x:x > 1:1). most of all discipline, keep a track of your trading development, when a trend appears to might have lost momentum to go in the opposite direction, think again. when a double top/bottom forms as a sign to step in, think again, instead of using the doubles as a SL area why not a TP? momentum and Fibonacci golden ratio may help you well. cheers.
