B&Q's V33 Tile renovation paint demo & review project. UK

Hi guys, i've done a video (sorry it's a bit long) showing me using the B&Q's exclusive V33 Tile renovation paint. This stuff is brilliant, easy(ish) to use and provides a nice finish to your old worn out tiles.
I did this kitchen renovation over 3 days and did everything as stated on the paints instructions to test it out as i've not seen any reviews on this product anywhere online before. So i thought i'd be the guinea pig and let my girlfriend choose the paint colour etc and i'd crack on with doing the hard work!
The paint is quite expensive for a small tub of paint, but you'll be surprised at the coverage, i did 3 yes 3 coats on my kitchen tiles and still had about 1/3 of the tub left at the end! But i was very stingy on my use of the paint on the first coat, as i thought i'd run out, or at least be close to using it all up. I ended up with a load left to leave in the shed for emergencies. But please remember this paint only lasts for 10 days with the additive mixed in, so if you keep it in the shed etc when you go to use it again it may be useless, but i'm keeping it all the same just in case i scratch it, so i have at least a colour match.
I was really impressed by the finish, it goes over the grout and tiles, it covered over glazed and unglazed tiles, although glazed took a bit more attention due to the paint coming off on any second pass, but if you're quick and utilise a brush and roller you can get it done quickly and efficiently, but it is quite fast and furious to get it done before it starts to dry! It gets into the grouting nicely by using a brush then covering over the rest of the tiles with a mini roller. I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of dripping paint, it's a nice change.

Ive just done my tiles with the v33 pebble satin and white satin on the cupboards, this paint is bang on easy to use. Just like you said in your video. The paint goes a very long way even with a small tub.

I've just painted my kitchen tiles with this stuff the same colour you have. I found it great it went on well and looks fab I'm just wondering how long it will last how is yours looking now?

lillaydee1989 well mines still looking tip top, it's also still good by the hob which gets regularly wiped down etc.

I bought some a couple of mths ago. I cleaned the tiles over n over to revover everything off them. Started painting an hour ago & the paint is as runny as single cream ran off the brush all over & as I applied more the first layer congealed under I am disappointed with this stuff!! its expensive and a waste of time & energy! it is warm so I dont know if that's the problem but ive had cheaper brands that ive painted the same tiles with years ago & did a smooth good job, I cant see how anyone gets a good job with this stuff. I would need about 3 tubs of this to do all of it as it is, Now ive gotta scrap all this off. I wish I hadn't of bothered!

Hi there! Did you say you went round with the brush first filling in the grouting with the paint then kind of Go back to the start with the roller to go over the tiles?

Hi Hannah, use the roller in small areas, then whatever the roller missed quickly paint with a brush, got to be quick though because as soon as its on, it seems to start drying quickly, then if you go over when it's a few minutes old it comes off in clumps. The trick with this stuff is to paint in small areas and quickly touch up then carry on. You'll be really pleased with the results it's a great product.

+Hannah Nowell much to my girlfriends disgust I haven't got round to them yet, but we are going to use a different product altogether were going to use a brand called Rust-Oleum, I'll do another video when I do it so you can see how it went!
