Thank you for your lesson I am 77 yrs just learning to play an instrument. The ukulele II bought is a soprano Ukulele. I wish to learn hymns. I have tried a little from other ukulele teachers on KZbin but I am trouble following the fingering.

I like hymns as well, my groups play Swing low Sweet Chariot, When the Saints go Marching in, I'll Fly Away, Down to the River to Pray. I will do a video with these soon and if there is a hymn you would like I can consider doing it if it suits the Lessons as they progress.

I have listened to a lot of beginners teaching on KZbin. I think you are every bit as good as them. Actually even better for me. I need every tiny aspect of learning to play explained since I have never played an instrument before. I’m looking forward to watching more of your videos. Thank you for sharing your talent!

Welcome! thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it. My method is based on teaching lots of beginners and understanding the challenges for those who have no musical experience. There are so many wonderful teachers online and I hope learners find the one that gets them playing. I started this channel years ago but didn't get down to teaching on the channel until January 2024! Its a journey for all of us, just for different things! :)

Glad I found your channel. Enjoyed your intro to uke. I started on a 26" uke last week. I have been looking for good videos on learning. I am struggling with strumming and am trying to learn chords. Also, I am challenging myself to learn to play chords with only 2 fingers on my left hand (the reason is in my user name and those who know, know 😂) Anyway, I'm looking forward to learning more from you.

why is it that the two middle strings look thicker than the top most one? is it normal for uke?
@ukecandoit7505Ай бұрын
The thickness of the strings makes them be tuneable to the particular notes ie the C string is thicker so it will vibrate to create that pitch. The thinner strings are higher in pitch. Yes it is normal and is like that on other stringed instruments, its science :)
