Regarding the confusion on the E chord, he doesn’t explain it in depth, but if you really listen to what he’s saying, it’s seems it’s optional to use four fingers. He says strings 1,2,3 and frets 2,3,4. That’s three fingers, as he shows in the video. He then says you CAN strum all four strings (as shown in the diagram) as you can do with all chords in this course. So it’s up to you- played both ways the four finger chord sounds slightly fuller than the three finger. Great tutorial! Thanks Andy!!

Because the vast majority can’t figure it out: For Em chord, there’s no need for the four fingers, the first three will work fine 😊 Andy is smart and figured it out 😂 if ever in doubt from choosing between Andy’s fingerings and the picture, I would probably recommend doing Andy’s version.

I have watched all of these so far and they make so much sense until the last part of this video which I'll watch again. I now have 3 strum patterns and 5 chords plus one I'm still looking at E. Using some of the song sheets, I'm 3/4 of the way to being able to play a song. While in virus isolation I can spend a bit more time on this. I cant imagine that I'll be able to sing along until I remember the whole musis all the way through and then learn the song. Reading and playing doesnt work. They main thing for me is that these are all songs that I wouldnt mind playing. No Mississippi tug boat songs. Very Well done Andy

Good job. Brown Eyed Girl is just about a perfect beginners song on ukulele - recognizable, not too difficult, and has some cool but simple lead licks you can add as you progress. Ukulele just needs a reputation boost so people see it as the serious instrument that it is. If only we could collectively unsee Tiny Tim.

Easier way to play E minor, I've worked out is: 2nd finger on 2nd fret; 3rd finger on 3rd and 4th finger (pinkie) on 4th fret. Super easy when moving from G as 2nd and 3rd fingers are already there and acts as anchor fingers - all you need to do is bring up your pinkie - you can even keep 1st finger where it is, doesn't matter. WAAAAAYYYYY easier!

First of all, this guy is the most delightful instructor I’ve ever met. Please also teach me how to bake bread and do my taxes. Secondly, for anyone who’s practicing song in Key of G- “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran is, well, perfect 😂

If you could consider the song Runnin' Home to You, by Grant Gustin. It uses chords you have already taught us and I think it would be a fairly easy one to sing and play. Also, I have found other tutorials for it, but I think you can do a better one!
