finally getting that sound! I've been watching youtube videos on it for weeks but yours the only one to explain it clear enough for me to understand. This video really helped out a lot :)

Well, you explained it much better than other people have but when I do it I just kind of strum-smack but it ends up being two motions, not one fluid one. Going to have to try doing it over and over again LOL. I'm feeling a bit dyslexic doing it! =P

Hey Bro, thanks for the lessons, they have been awesome. When you put it all together, can you let it play out for a few seconds longer, say 10-15 seconds so we can kinda get the pattern and melody.

I think I'm getting it but the tips of my fingers are raw. Usually I just strum with my index finger. Is something wrong if chunking hurts or is it something that you get used to like fingerpicking?

@jpablosnm I think you meant Kanile'a*. Basically you just listed 3 budget ukulele brands and a Ferrari of ukuleles. Mahalo is crap, almost considered "toy" ukuleles. Kala and Lanikai are on same level, Kala has a bit better edge in sound, while Lanikai has better aesthetics (for both I'm referring to their sub-$150 models.) As for the Kanile'a, their ukes are not for the beginners, as their cheapest models go for ~$500.

@jpablosnm Dude, you asked for Mahalo, Kala, Lanikai, and a Kanilea. It's like asking me if you should get an Oldsmobile (Mahalo), a Toyota (Kala), a Honda (Lanikai) or a fucking Lamborghini (the Kanilea). And you are clearly misinformed if you are thinking they are crap because they are the best sounding ukes for the dollar while that Kanilea is a fucking gem among ukuleles and costs likewise.

i dont know how... one needs to hit the strings in the same moment as the thumb area prevends the sound... but there is always a short sound unlike in your video.. god damn this. I could smash my uke :(
