Thetford Forest a place of very strange experiences. Eye-shine and Stones Thrown

Hello Deborah Myself and my girlfriend have had some strange things happen to us whilst driving around Thetford forest between September and October 2018. I have written down the dates of each incident and what happened when we were out there. We had a series of strange events and things have happened that we have a hard time explaining. We have had stones that seem to be thrown at the car from the treeline, at one time hitting the roof and on another chipping the windscreen, we even had a metal bolt thrown at the car from the trees. we were hearing breaks in the forest, we saw eye shine on a number of visits at dusk. Some of this is confusing as to what is going on or who is doing it. As usual I asked the gentleman in question if he would write out his account in his own words so I did not influence him in any way. He is not making any claims here, merely asking for information on these events, from anyone in the area who has experienced something similar or any one out there who can identify this behaviour.

One thing is for sure and that is that something intelligent and reactive is throwing items and being seen and heard. That means it's either human or something else capable of gripping a stone and throwing it a distance as well as being able to pace a vehicle. As I say to people up here who go into the woods; be careful, there are things out there that'll hunt you back.

I was thinking the same to be honest. I get a really 'off feeling' when I do any work on Thetford. The area itself gives off the weirdest vibe. A 'stay out' kind of feeling.

Fascinating set of events and such a brilliant place for anyone interested in British Forest Folk. I have spent the day and camped the night there and it was really atmospheric and intetesting. I had no experiences but witnessed the most amazing tree/wood manipulations I have seen and will definitely be returning a few times in 2019. I feel the place is big enough to support a clan year round with enough resources and cover. From all the accounts and interactions such as these Deb we all know "someone" is there frequently. First account of the year came in last Thursday, down on the River Medway, Iv looked at the river there and there are 16 accounts along that River. I think I need to stop looking at areas and start looking at River Routes themselves. Love and light from a wet rainy lancs. X

Deb you are spot on. I have been looking at my area this past couple of months because I couldnt work out how the FF could get to this one section of wood without walking into my village or flying!!! There is a stream that I never knew was even there until it flooded a couple of weeks ago. It connects 3 woods, the Trent, the Trent and Mersey Canal and a rail line...they can move anywhere in the country from this ditch/stream! Peace xx

Certainly strange events, does sound a bit like BF behaviour. I think there was a sighting of a bear(?) in Thetford forest around the seventies, don't know what became of that. Brave of the couple to keep visiting and it's interesting the activity has stopped for the moment. Hopefully someone will tell us of other odd events there. Thanks Deb!

Yes the Thetford Bear is one of the accounts, and a couple of "creature" and "baboon" accounts also. This account is ideal for showing how hard it is to report a strange experience if it doesn't fit in to an exact box. It could be paranormal I suppose, or the wild folk, but where do you reports stones thrown and eyeshine? It will be interesting to see if anything happens over the coming months.

This 'throwing random objects' seems to be more of a Bigfoot related trait.. Never heard of a Dogman engaging in this behaviour.. Dogmen would be more likely to throw a limb or two (or the odd head, lol..) around, I'd think.. Yep, totally sounds like behaviour Bigfoot are renown for.. Good stuff Deb.!! Cheers.!! 😁👌..

I have managed to put him in touch with two other people researching this area, and Mike from the werewolf journals, im interested to see if anything happens, as always Jan brought our first sighting report from the river medway. If the same pattern as always happens the next one will by March/May time.. Lots of new small footprints around also.

D. Hatswell Creature Reports you dont need to tell me i'm from barnsley lol i come from a northern family with a long line of nutters , my dad was so proud when the doctor told him i was a cyclepath lol, one thing about us northerners is we tell it how it is though straight john bull ,we make great investigators were not easily scared and we like to get to the truth of things .

I would say that you (The couple)had thoroughly irritated whatever was in the Forrest by keep going back and shining torches every night! I'd say that they were trying to discourage you. If you carry on who knows what they might do?

I did suggest they visited in the day time hours for a while. Our latest growl was only in July and that shadowing behaviour was mentioned again, maybe thats their time and we should keep well away at night.

Id love to camp here one night. There are alot of accounts that follow the River than runs by Thetford, I think its worth me tracing those accounts along the river as it could be a route of some kind?

Don't worry about it at all, I get it, I can come across that way, and I should share a little more of my personal side. :) Im working on an account today that came in on the River Medway, its the first one of the year, when I looked at the area I found 4 or 5 others, then I looked at the River Medway and realised there are 16 accounts along that river.. I forget to explain that process, so in interview you get, "its all about the rivers" and then no explanation or example as to why :) Im like on those mad women with 2 pens in here hair, thats ace at bigfoot facts but useless in social situations. My husband is forever digging me in the ribs :)

I have that effect on my husband he just told me :) I have some accounts from the Medway river that are upto 16 encounters by different witnesses spanning 1500 to Jan 19.

i believe if people want to make claims like this and something doesn't add up, then they shouldn't mind someone saying this doesn't make sense and can you please clear this up, without taking offense, I'm very confused how a bolt and rock can be thrown in such a way they hit the roof and stayed on the roof,or they were able to drive off and it still remains there, I would think for this to happen it would have to be thrown from very,very close underarm or dropped from above,im not saying their lying,but I am curious about these things, i would also love to know how they decided to contact you as I'm sure 99.9999% of people in the UK would have no idea of the dogman and bigfoot existence

I have put the gentleman in touch with 3 other researchers down there in the hopes we can work out whats going on. It could be paranormal in origin? I think its ok to share these details as im sure there will be others experiencing similar things. I think lighting up the forest at night over a number of nights may be what set this activity off? Keeping an eye on whats happening down there hopefully will provide a few answers.

Polly g nothing wrong with analising peoples storys Only a fool takes every word as gospal , if the truth is ever to be found then it will be from being thorough and not being afraid of critical analasis and sniffing out red herrings and falshoods.
