Glad you liked it 👍🏻 and good luck with the pack, it’s truly a great one!

I've used the circuit for the past 3 years. All of your points and suggestions have been my experience too. I have used Osprey, Gregory and Z-packs in the past. The ULA is a fantastic quality pack for the money and is very versatile too. It may not be the lightest but is is simple and comfortable to carry!

Nice to hear another satisfied owner of the circuit 👍🏻🙂 I only use mine now when I need a bit more room (trying to go as light as possible) but for comfort…it is truly great! Love it and will keep it!! 🙂

Great review! I have one as well and I love it still after 3 years of backpacking with it. I would add that it does have the capacity to carry a bear canister which was something I needed to be able to do in grizzly country. Thank, great review and enjoy it!

Thanks 😊 and yes, that I forgot...don’t use one myself so probably the reason. I really enjoy the pack and probably will also get a ULA CDT for 2021. Have a great holidays!

The straps you pointed out at the bottom as being for hiking poles are also found at the top. I wondered if anyone has tried linking them with extra cinch straps to carry lightweight items sideways, like an extra sleeping pad or tent material, since it doesn't have straps for that at the bottom.

Haven’t tried but should work.

Who makes the aluminum water bottle clip that you replaced in place of the bungee cord. I like it
@roberthammenrudh2 жыл бұрын
Hi, well its s cheap thing I found after a recommendation from a friend. You can find it at Ebay or Amazon. Like the link below and yea, it’s a great small thing if you don’t have dedicated pouches for your bottles! www.amazon.com/Colorsheng-Portable-Carabiner-Camping-Traveling/dp/B07PWQGJKW/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?crid=2CG2Y65C8GIR4&keywords=water+bottle+clip+aluminum&qid=1651391833&sprefix=water+bottle+clip+aluminum%2Caps%2C160&sr=8-5

Tack för bra video! Undrar hur ryggsäcken fungerar vid långdistans vandringar. Svettas man i ryggen eller har den någon slags ventilationssytem?
@roberthammenrudh4 жыл бұрын

Thanks for the review. Do the side pockets have drain holes? My Zpack ark haul has side pockets that would fill up with water

Glad you liked it Chad even if I hade some problems with the sound at the time…later changed to a better microphones! Yea the side pockets have drainage holes so no worries, they will not fill up with water 😄👍🏻

Great review. What's the blue aluminum clip on the shoulder strap??
@roberthammenrudh3 жыл бұрын
Thanks 😊 and yea the blue clip is a water bottle clip I found on Ebay. Had a friend that tried one at first and since they work perfectly I bought one to. I didn’t like the shock cord for water bottles that came with the Circuit. Just search for “aluminium bottle clip” on Ebay and you will find several options. 🙂

Enjoyed the video.... where can I buy the blue aluminum clip used to hold water bottle on shoulder harness? what size bottle do you use in the clip?
@roberthammenrudh3 жыл бұрын
Well depends on where you live, but there are available at Ebay if you just search for Carabiner Bottle Holder, link in the end or if still active also in description for the “water on the hike” vid. I use 33cl or 50cl PET bottles I get from buying water. Narrow/small necks. I hope you can find them, really like them. Also my friends use them. www.ebay.com/itm/2X-Outdoor-Travel-Carabiner-Water-Bottle-Holder-Clip-Camping-Hiking-Buckle-Hook-/252084559005?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292

@@roberthammenrudh Oh, the essence of the review is here, you are not overly happy and getting rid of it, or? Good review, nevertheless. Thanks for making clear the capacity. Crazy difficult to compare the real backpack capacities! I'd buy the X-Pac Circuit if it would be available in EU.
@roberthammenrudh3 жыл бұрын
Yes well, I am happy with the Circiut. Good pack for sure, but dont need all that space anymore. So yea, I will get another pack for 2021 but keep the Circuit for longer trips or winter.

Woho. My circuit weighs 1060, but then i have removed all internal sleeves and all extras on shoulder straps.
@roberthammenrudh4 жыл бұрын
Thats great, my wheighs in at 1116. With some smaller modifikations, the water clip, the small blue shock cord for sunglasses and a plastic clip for easier securing the tent on one side. Did not mention that, wanted to keep the vid short and focus on the ”standard” bag.

Great review. This pack strikes an amazing balance between an ultralight and a structured backpack. Like many people I’ve spent thousands on the top of the line ultralights and found out how uncomfortable they are and how much they hurt. I would strongly warn people about expensive ultralight packs.
@roberthammenrudh2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, and yea this is a great pack. Use this pack now when I want more space but most of the time I use my Atom+ by ATOMPACKS. Still a framed pack with great comfort and still ultra light…would never go frameless! Your bad experience using ultra light packs…is that also the framed ones or frameless?
@roddenby2 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert, thanks for the reply! I’ve got 4 ultralight packs 3 of which are frameless and one had a light frame. I found that without a frame or a light frame and with a reasonable load they are painful with bad load disbursement. Surprisingly it’s not something that is discussed much. I am a fit guy with extensive use using military style packs and was shocked at this issue when using ultralight.
