Don't put yourself down. You are brilliant at vlogging a real natural. You just have to be yourself and watching you out in nature you seem very happy and relaxed. Looks like a great place to experience outdoor living. We could all do with taking stock of our lives and just live in the natural world for a while.

You did a wonderful job. You are NOT selfish. Not even close. Thanks for sharing what you did, but most importantly, you stay grounded to who you are. It's not just your homes that you keep grounded to the earth. Be your beautiful self and keep on living your dreams. Peace and joy to you, Josh! Blessings to you and Ula!

You've been very lucky to have had the opportunity to do what you have done, cause most of us , like myself will never have the chance. So it was nice to watch yourself, and then I felt I could get a real sense of it. So thank you for that. And I thoroughly enjoyed both one and segment two of this video that you put out. I hope you do some more....🥰🇬🇧🐾🐾🎃👍

Hi Josh. What a brilliant video explaining your experience over the summer. It’s definitely important to try and live in the present and not worry too much about what has already happened and what is going to happen. Spending time in nature is so rewarding. You’re doing a great job with filming and sharing your thoughts and experiences mate. Thanks very much 😊Take care. Nick

I reeaally like this. That's a very good point. It's quickly morphed into amateur TV shows with all the pressure to perform and be the best and have your video shown to everyone for all the likes, comments, and interaction for the platform (whichever it is) to push your video further, and make it even more popular. It's a toxic world - yet, it can be so liberating for both viewer and creator, escapism or educational, or authentically entertaining.. its a crazy world we all now live in. Lots of love, Ula and Josh (just two people trying to find an enjoyable way to live their life.) Xx

Thanks for sharing this with us Josh! My partner and I live in London but have just had an offer accepted on an off-grid barge (just waiting on the survey so all fingers crossed!!). Speaking of Ula metal detecting! I'm one of the Mudlarks down by the Thames foreshore scurrying looking for treasures in the mud! I've had to find ways of connecting with nature whilst living in the city but it also sparked an interest in history for me. Watching you guys has been one of the ways I've been prepping myself and sharing excitement for this upcoming adventure - thanks as always guys & well done Josh on a wicked mini-series 🐍

Ula! I'm so glad I just popped back, KZbin hasn't been notifying responses! Yes of course! I was shocked at how obsessed I quickly became! From city slicker to spiritual mud slinger 🤣I have some things on my mudlarking wish-list yet to find! The barge is just shy of 70ft, moored in Essex as we speak - hoping to remain there whilst we refurb (big-ish job) as its as close to off-grid as I've ever seen this close to London - frollicking in all the nature omgggg COMMON!! We should know more by Wednesday (playing it very cool right now haha). I'll come back to you when I know more! xx @@UlaandJosh

I really enjoyed your of grid living. I like that it was you and your way you do a much better job than I would. I enjoy pl just being themselves and seeing different things. If it seems not flowing out what ever I certainly don't mind because it is real and that is more important for me. The scenery was stunning and how you made you camp comfortable was great. Such great advice there Lynne, thankyou for sharing. Josh, you mentioned loving to cook outside. Have you ever cooked over a rocket stove or jet stove built of natural items, i.e. rocks, stone and clay? I see that you tied down to a tree in a spot or two. I had to do that when my tent was hit by a massive windy thunderstorm. I also had to borrow a couple of picnic tables from some empty camping sites nearby to also ground my tent. Mind you my folks, daughter, nephew and niece were sleeping in the tent with me when the storm hit. I'd come gone camping with my daughter and done the tent set up. Then my folks drove up with the other kiddies to the campsite just to spend a day. They hadn't planned on staying but the storm came out of nowhere so quickly, they hunkered down to wait it out. Unfortunately they hadn't brought any extra clothes so I had to run around by myself trying to keep the tent from crashing down or lifting off. I was one soaked chicken when I finally managed to get the stakes reset, or tied to heavy or immovable objects. And yes, I enjoyed how you shared your experience. The videos were warm, thoughtful, interesting and visually beautiful. Heartfelt is the best word I can come up with for your endeavor.

Hey buddy, it was a random turn, but we started making KZbin videos, and when I wasn't on the boat and ula was working alot, there wasn't any boat vlogging going on so we filmed what we were up to anyway, and mainly for our memories. Now we are back to normal boat life stuff from here on out. Cheers

The channel is called Ula and Josh, not boats r us. It was only two episodes anyway, uploaded for my own memories, not to perform to you. Plenty of others out there, enjoy

How rude! I don't understand why people find it necessary to make disparaging remarks. If you don't like something then move on. I loved this Josh, glad you got to accomplish one of your dreams, see you back at the canal.❤

It wasn't what I was expecting to see but shows a part of Great Britain that I never knew existed...all the ferns, etc. Very interesting I must say!
