Don't make it politics, research and development of technology is important in any academic institutions, if you want iit in Trichy, madurai if possible u can make any government colleges as equivalent to iit as well that's depends on hardwork and facilities provided by government

Just bcoz you don't know doesn't mean IITians aren't capable of coming with their own innovation. Agreed that research environment here is not conducive for innovations but you can't generalise it!
