I have been using the peak design and the ulanzi for about a year each with different camera setups. I have found out that the ulanzi will hold up for some time. But when you like nature photografy please get the peak design. Becouse the springs of the ulanzi will start to give up after about a year becouse of weather. And i still have no problems at all with the peak design version.

I am not clipping my cam on my bag strap while walking around. I clip my camera on the back of my belt, with a clip similar to this, when I need to CLIMB onto something (ladder, tree, boulder, etc. :) While walking, I have my cam in my hand using a very short "neck strap". Like a handle.

That's a great idea!

Seems like a pretty cheap alternative to peak design, I can see it being a great fit for beginners that don't want to commit to Peak Designs. I feel like that eventual sticking problem would sadly be an issue for most though. I did really like the idea of that dedicated coin/token thing to loosen the screw, pretty nice feature that shows they paid attention to the details!

I think unlocking it in an angle helps but ya it does get caught 50% of the time :/ the coin thing is surprisingly super helpful than I expected!!

Weight is not a problem for this claw. But the short strap holding the belt or the belt itself might not handle too much weight. So it's a bottle neck idea.

I can't see myself doing this with my $3k+ camera setup to much risk for me... but i like the idea

Fair enough! It does definitely carry some risks

What is the width of your strap? On ulanzi website it’s said the max width of the strap should be less than 58mm but your bag strap seems to be much wider than that.
@VictorLaforteza Жыл бұрын
Definitely wider but it still fits. It will touch the screws but it won’t fold. Not sure what the size of the strap is but it’s the wandrd prvke 31
