@@ThommosTech and after 2 months of having the phone, gotta say! If you have a toddler who thinks you might need your phone while taking a shower, this is the one! It's groovy though, you can listen to music or the news while showering! It's also taken a lot of punishment (dropped, thrown..) and still works ok. I like that I can take pics of my kids swimming without worrying if I drop the dang thing. It's a little slow (my favorite phone was the Nexus, that thing was so good!!) and the photo quality won't blow your mind, but overall for a clumsy-ish person with a lot going on this is def worth considering.

Ive got one for couple of hours, and ive got to say it feels really really nice and it looks way more expensive than it is, funny story the first time i broke ANYTHING, not only phone, and i ran over my nokia phone with a mini tractor and it broke, although i saw it coming...

It's just about OK. The main selling point is the durability. It is overkill unless you're expecting it to get thrown in a river. A pre-owned Samsung with a rubber case would be the option I'd go for now.

Hi Thommo - I bought one of these when they first came out - what I can't get to the bottom of is how to fix a ringtone permanently, especially ones I've added myself. The bloody thing just keeps putting itself back to some insipid, generic tone (Walk In The Clouds) basically whenever it feels like it. This means I miss calls because I don't recognise the tone and I can barely hear it either. Any ideas please?
