Wish you went in more on the radio part. I'm sure that's why everyone is looking in to it. So does it have analog it looks like it on the video. What about offset it looks like you can edit the rx and TX so it should.

Ulefone Armor 20wt: I have this. Unfortunately setting it up for repeaters is an issue. The receive and transmit frequencies cannot be programmed. the software will let you input the frequencies, but it will only receive and transmit on one frequency per channel. A real shame since they did so well in so many areas with this radio. So far, the manufacturer has not corrected the issue. i tried to get them to fix it with no luck. Get the Atom. It works great.

Great review of a great phone! But, I have to disagree with a point you made at the end. UleFone does not support their devices beyond a couple of security updates in the first year or so. I have the Armor 9T, it came with Android 10 when it first came out and it still has Android 10. I've only ever gotten one system update in over two years. My wife's 3-year-old Samsung phone is already running on Android 13. UleFone definitely needs to start supporting their devices more.

What frequency is the DMR? At 20 watts it will require a licence in the US and Canada if it is even allowed to be used.

It doesn't have 20 watts. It is only the reference of the device. Power Armor 20 WT, i.e. WALKIE TALKIE. I hope I helped you with this information. Recommendations here from Brazil.

@@stefenson.souza.ferreira Thanks, but in the US and Canada we have a lot of laws and regulations. UHF and VHF devices would need to be licensed for a nice fee each year. Portable walkie talkies are limited to 4 watts for UHF and 5 watts for VHF. It would be better if they could use the network to communicate between phones. That would be a winner.

In my opinion, as long as the price justifiable with the spec, it can be a good phone regardless of the price. When it first debut, the price of 20WT is more expensive than 18T, so I don't think anyone will buy it regardless of how much it fits a person's preferences. If you want a DMR phone, why not just buy the Unihertz Atom XL, it's cheaper. Now, the price is somewhat more justifiable, and now a viable option. Sucks it has no 3.5mm port though.

With android it should be possible as long as walkie talkie app supports background use or screen sharing even if not you can go KZbin pro which would allow you to use KZbin pip mode as long as walkie talkie app dosent actively blocks it or multiple sound output mode of the Android. I don't own the phone by the way but i know my way around on Android.

If you are playing a YT video when a radio call comes through, YT is muted and you hear the call until the transmission finishes where YT is unmuted. If you push PTT the transceiver app comes to the foreground and YT is paused. I've not tried wireless headphones yet. Only arrived today.
