I met Uli a couple times after his shows. He’s a really humble down to earth guy.

I remember seeing this way back in 85, also managed to also catch Uli on tour the same year at the Mandela Hall, Queens University, Belfast. Thought I was going to get a kicking that night, was the only guy in the audience with short hair. Thanks Mr Kershaw for the patronising interview. ,

Thank you for uploading this very valuable video.🙏😍 I'm getting to know that Uli Jon Roth is an incredibly amazing guitarist. And I'm amazed by Michael Flecksig's beautiful voice.🤩 I'm wondering why Ule Ritgen isn't in this video.🤔

I used to listen to this while feeding 2-year-old thoroughbred racing colts in 1985. The colts loved this song more than me. Oh to be back in the western Chicago suburbs!

Uli is great, but I guess Electric Sun is a taste that must be acquired if you're an old Scorps fan.
@charliejamz. Жыл бұрын
70’s Scorpions is some of my favorite music ever written, and I’m a huge Electric Sun fan as well. Focus on the guitar. The first two Electric Sun albums are more of a direct rock and roll feel to them for the most part.
@tmst2199 Жыл бұрын
@@charliejamz. Yeah. Just not doing it for me. I need better composition and melody. To each his own, I guess.
@charliejamz. Жыл бұрын
If anybody has melody, it’s Uli. I don’t think you know exactly what your looking for if that’s what you meant to say. Starlight is a beautiful melody, Indian Dawn, Cast Away Your Chains, Still So Many Lives Away, Burning Wheels Turning etc. All great compositions, with brilliant melodies.
@tmst2199 Жыл бұрын
@@charliejamz. I could probably learn to love it but just think it's more of an acquired taste than, say, vintage Scorps.

What a gem this is. I prefer Earthquake and Firewind. Betond the Astriak skies! I di not care for. Although a very challenging attempt to nix claaical with Rock opera. Kinda of like a stepping stone for Uli. Cause be went on to create some his finest work . Like the double album Tracedental sky works. Excuse the butchering of the title

The main vocalist aside from Uli is probably the best singer Uli has ever had after Klause. All of them now are complete trash.. this guy has a couple annoying moments..
@pathaden7 жыл бұрын
I disagree with the guy on this recent tour who is playing bass instead of guitar since the last one passed away. He's got great pipes. But before him ....YES his vocalists have been horrid besides Boals
@charliejamz.7 жыл бұрын
idk, i think this guy now has a very annoying voice. I just seen uli in chicago friday and his singer DID get better than last year. Nobody can come close to Klause Meine
