She really is a living breathing swan! so precise and graceful. And with the face of a 1930s film star.Incredibly effortless, both as a person, and this documentary.

Cold?! Never! I've seen her in other documentaries and she is so amazingly down to easrth person! But this was so cute how the little gilr is supporting her mom's leg. Amazing! Simply amazing! And Uliana is just the personification of perfection!

this documentary is wonderful, quiet yet saying thousands of words. Lopatkina deserve respect, who works for herself, against standard set by herself. Human beings who define themselves seriously worth respect.Thank you so much for sharing

She is perhaps the most beautiful ballet dancer I have seen: the most control and the most purity and simplicity. Yes, this is indeed a beautiful film. I, too, love the photography and sound. The slo-mo and absence of narration. I have to comment on the child situation, though. Whether the film-maker meant to comment or not - I think he meant to... to wit his cut from the ovations for mamma to the quietude and solitariness of the little girl backstage in the dressing room. It is disturbing to me the apparent disconnection from the child. Why is she being left alone in the dressing room for seemingly long periods; is there not one babushka in the entire country to be with her and talk and play with her? And then, when she is attempting to engage her mother and is willing to enter mother's dance bubble, mother barely acknowledges the child. Sad. There's artistic dedication and then there is checking out of real life...

+dancerlisa true reality of people in the theater... there is art, nothing else.... ask any performer. And her daughter will probably start dancing too

What a great dancer and person and what a lame documentary that is not getting even close to showing her beauty, talent and work.

@Pearlaceous That´s true, is lovely and cute how she tries to imitate her mother in this last video! But her daughter looks sometimes quite lonely when she is alone, while her mother is dancing or at rehersal...and that is a bit sad, isnt it? :(

Yes, I like that fragments too. Many people consider her cold but after seeing that I'm just not able to think about her this way :-).

@loulie1997 You can always begin with an alphabet, and you don't need any course to do it and it's a good start. I'm learning Russian completely by myself and it's fun (but my native language is similar to Russian so it's not so difficult for me).

@spqrmor oh i really hope to learn it someday! finding a college that offers it is a challenge for someone who lives in a small town... :( but i'll keep looking because i think it will help me in my career if i become a dancer! :)
