This was envisioned as an prequel to events of pulp fiction (the suitcase) There are multiple theories of events 1. Dinesh (Ritchie's friend) ganged up with Munna to finish off Ritchie then kills Munna to keep his secret 2. You don't know what happened to the 3rd guy with the Richie's group. 3. The wooden log is probably an idol of god shani(whose mount is a crow) so he keeps seeing crows everywhere 4. Richie's friend runs away with wood/idol & the Achutanna uses his sister to manipulate Munna to kill Richie.

Great review guys. I really like the unique perspectives that u bring to the table. Few choices for u to watch in Kannada. Lucia - A guy who gets to live a dual life thru his dreams induced by a drug. Eventually looses track what's real. Tagaru - A cop vs gangster movie but told in a non linear way. Operation alamelamma - A kidnap mystery, again shot in a very interesting comic way. U Turn - Horror mystery abt people.getting killed after they take a illegal u turn on an over bridge. Rangitaranga - Thriller / Horror movie with awesome cinematography, songs, location and many twists.

Acting was fine, it's a very local culture and people actually behave that way here, hard to believe but people in the coastal regions of Karnataka are actually heightened in terms of their mannerism and dialogues.

The scenes are all "comic booky" because the movie is the story told by different perspectives.. And stories told are always exaggerated in some ways... Rakshith Shetty made a brilliant job actually... many kannada people doesnt get all the things in the movie because it is the cultural pulp fiction story of coastal karnataka.... TuluNadu.. not many people know the cultural history...

The one thing everyone misses is the perspective of the journalist. A perspective which holds all the other. She's the one who gets to put all the pieces together. And that's where Democracy (character) comes in. He's the one innocent perspective that represents the outsiders who will never understand the depth. The point is in our reality the whole narrative will never reach the audience. We'll always get half truths which can lead to any number of endings. That's where the open ending of the film comes in. A film is a reflection of life. And this film is almost at the epitome of it while preserving the cultural background of Coastal region.

Great reviews guys! Loved the review! The English script is available online on the internet! Rakshit Shetty is also planning a sequel to this film called Richie which he is also writing! Another movie by Rakshit Shetty is Avane Srimannarayana which will take you on the best cinematic journey! The part at the end when Munna shoots Richi, if you notice a bit before when he (Munna) is on the boat, he sees blood on the floor, and he thinks that Richi has killed Balu (his love interests brother), but he doesn't take notice to see that when he passes Balu's house where his sister is in the doorway, that after he leaves on his bike that Balu arrives to the house. that's why he takes "revenge" in a sense and kills Richi

Just loved your reviews the technicalities and the provoking thoughts. Believe me, these are some of the finest actors in the Kannada Film Industry (the mother part you talked is Ms. Tara, a national award winner, and many such artists like Achyut Kumar from theatrical background). Really a poor review. Looks like they did it for the heck of it. Mistakes could be there in the plot, but I don't agree with you in the acting dept. They nailed as good as possible. Narration was inconsistent or slow at parts, but you hardly mention the plot coz i think you hardly understood it.
