Got to be 6 weeks for me and I am dreading the first one back, if we ever get any good weather that is. I did the same Fells as you did with a mate a couple of years back on a very similar grey day but with the addition of a real biting wind. Not a Skiddaw type of day, so that would have been pointless so the better views were on the way down and on Dodd summit. Cheers Alan

Hi, Alan. Yeah, not the best conditions, but a really good walk. It was my first time doing the path down to Dodd. Like you, I'm sick of the weather. I have 9 days off, but the weather is rubbish, so I'm going to risk a camp on Thursday and Friday. Not sure where, but will be check where will have the best conditions in the Lakes. love this route, tho i do it t'other way round.. Dodds my most summited fell i think and yea my mind played a similar trick once, i always thought there was another path off the summit. must have dreamt it :)... tek care lad!
