I think I almost speak for almost everyone here that we agree that Ulquiorra would be the winner. I mean even if As Nodt fear does work, it probably won't be effective. In fact Ulquiorra might be more resistant than most since he doesn't just suppress fear, he really doesn't know or feel it to an extent.

What does Ulquiorra fear? He faced Ichigo's raw power and was more surprised by the power difference than the fact he was being treated as a rag doll. He had Ichigo ready to release a nuke on his face and we didnt see him tremble but asking him to do it.

They don't eat to survive, they eat out of desperation to fill the emptiness in their souls. Ulquiorra doesn't even have the fear of Adjuchas, which may be useful to As due to reverting back to a Gillian must be similar to dying for Menos hollows, as he was born a complete Vasto Lorde.

My theory about Ulquiorra has always been he may actually be the strongest Espada, but he simply didn't care. Didn't care to tell anyone about his second release because it didn't matter. Pride is a human emotion and made no sense to him. The way he bullies Yammy when he was getting cocky pretty much proved that to me.

Ulquiorra would almost definitely win. Not only has he demonstrated far greater feats of physical ability and destructive power than As Nodt has ever shown but there's also a small detail about how 'The Fear' works that gives Ulquiorra a natural advantage - As Nodt's ability is all about inducing primal, instinctual fear. Humans and Soul Reapers succumb to it so easily because they have 'civilized' themselves and think that they have suppressed it, and our minds are more effective without the presence of fear and/or stress. This is precisely why it worked so well on Byakuya, who has psychologically conditioned himself to suppress his fear in battle. But here's the thing - Hollows are inherently animalistic. They *embrace* that primordial fear and revel in their bestial instincts. As Nodt's thorns will either have no effect at all or they will end up intensifying that sensation, which would arguably make Ulquiorra even more dangerous. Imagine an Ulquiorra that no longer plays with his food and instead perceives you as a genuine threat to his survival that must be destroyed as quickly and completely as possible. We already know that As Nodt is not a very physical fighter, has not demonstrated any exceptional mastery of any Quincy technique, and is otherwise completely reliant on his schrift which, as I've just gone over, could backfire tremendously. Add this to the fact that Hollow reiatsu is toxic to Quincies and weakens their abilities, and As Nodt is clearly at a disadvantage.

I mean possibly (at least on the Ulquiorra being resistant to the fear effect he'd 1000% win)? I definitely wouldn't really call Ulquiorra animalistic by any means so I'm not sure he really gets any perks in that regard. I think a lot of hollows tend to be more animalistic but I think the further into being a Vasto Lorde you go the less animalistic and instinctual you are. That and I'm pretty sure arrancar are said to be less primal because of their hybrid nature. On top of that someone else mentioned Ulquiorra having fear in that he was relieved when Orihime wasn't afraid of him which meant he was worried/afraid that she was. But also just the doubt he shows when facing Ichigo and Orihime's world view. He was clearly unnerved and threatened by the fact he couldn't grasp how they thought and he was scared his entire worldview was wrong because he's missing something. Definitely the kind of fear that could paralyze someone if its amplified many times over and absolutely something he was clearly running from already. I do still think you have a point on Hollow reiatsu being toxic to Quincy's so I do think you're right about him having resistance or even immunity because of THAT but not because Ulquiorra is somehow mentally immune to fear just because he's a hollow. I think that honestly does his actual character a disservice just so we can have another reason he beats x other character ya know

i feel like the nuance with Ulquiorra is that although he may experience fear, I don't think he would really care enough to be crippled by it in the same way a normal opponent would be. I feel like despite being affected by As Nodt's ability, he would still have a calculated approach that he would only need to overwhelm As with his own power. like, it isn't necessarily an emotional thing for Ulquiorra to face immense power, it's rather a, "guess I'll die" sort of response. between the two, As Nodt is more likely to experience the despair that both characters weaponize.

I'd argue that Ulquiorra never felt fear and instead would express shock. If getting blasted point blank range by a demon with the intent to kill you doesn't spark a slight reaction then the dude is a full blown HOLLOW. A void which consumes the moons light itself. The simple question to ask would be "What does Ulquiorra fear?" Aizen ? Maybe? It doesnt seem like he's afraid of beings stronger than him, he simply acknowledges his place. Him losing his cool at Ichigo's resilience is less "oh he can feel emotions" and more "oh so he can display something other than a straight muted face."

I actually think exposing Ulquiorra to fear may be a bad decision. I think an interesting reaction would be if feeling fear could manage to evoke other emotions from Ulquiorra. Particularly anger. As mentioned before, Ulquiorra found himself beginning to grow frustrated by Ichigo's refusal to give up. I imagine feeling such primal fear may drive Ulquiorra into a frenzy that would make even As Nödt shit his pants. Being exposed to a mix of brand new emotions that he has no concept or understanding of would be enough to legitimately drive Ulquiorra briefly insane. He would become an unhinged maniac throwing Ceros and Lanza Del Relampagos in every direction, just trying to get the overwhelming sensations to end. Ulquiorra would turn out fine due to his regeneration. As Nödt and the surrounding area? Not so much.

If Full Hollow Ichigo could crush Lanza in his hand with no damage, As Nodt isn’t taking any damage from it. People forget Byakuya killed Second Form Yammy along with Kenpachi, and then fought Kenpachi who like himself is stronger than Yammy. And he was bleeding and injured when he returned, so he did take hits form one or both of them and survived. Then As Nodt absolutely shreds through Byakuya’s durability with his own Bankai, which is weaker than As Nodt’s own Vollstandig. And with Blut, his durability should scale above his AP using Byakuya’s Bankai

So Yammy taking a somewhat less than 50% Ichigo’s Getsuga with only a small cut is a better feat than Ulquiorra has shown Anyways < 50% Masked Ichigo could barely cut Res Yammy while Byakuya could kill second form Yammy and take hits from and damage Kenpachi who himself could damage and take hits from Yammy. Ulquiorra is empty of that very thing, look at his back story, he was different and even moreso empty compared to all other hollows he encountered, through the white tree of many points he sought rest as it reflected his own void and for a time he rested within it, until Aizen showed up he had nothing to give him direction, he respected Aizen greatly to the point of being his absolute yesman, due to Aizen's intellect being far beyond his own. I dont even think he feared being killed by Aizen at any rate, fear or even the possibility of that very emotion, was never present within Ulquiorra, we surely would have seen it if it were at all present in his destruction through Vasto Lorde Ichigo. In essence, or as an analogy, Vasto Lorde Ichigo was that very white tree of many points made manifest that Ulquiorra sought to find true emptiness in long before becoming an Espada.

Firstly, good structure to your video. I really like how well paced the fight scene was and it felt in character to both sides. I do think this fight is a lot less one sided than people think upon further reflection of both sides but I still think Ulquiorra takes it. As is very much a one trick pony, and if anything happens to take his trick away then he flounders badly and tries to reestablish it. For the big question, yeah I do feel Ulquiorra can feel fear. He instills it in others and can see it happening plus I do think that shot of him against "Vasto Lorde" Ichigo does show him have a momentary sensation of fear, however fleeting. I do think he can overcome it with his releases and I even got an image of one spear of light coming from the ocean of darkness surrounding As and destroying his sphere. Including a line about how fear is just a byproduct of despair and Ulquiorra is about to show As a despair so deep, it'll engulf his fear. Something like that, this is just off the top of my head lol. Keep these up, they are pretty great.

It's actually interesting, I've always assumed Ulquiorra to be the strongest of Espada based on the significance of the number "4" in specific, like a number of bad luck and when I rewatched the series you could assume even his first release should be higher than the average Arrancar's due to one thing in specific, in both the anime and the manga Yammy's release turned his number from 10 to 0 to show his true ranking in the Espada, however Ulquiorra on the otherhand has his number entirely erased from his body, almost as if it wasn't meant to be there in the first place, that along with his speed and power being boosted by such a degree that even while hollowfied, Ichigo could barely react and we know that hollowfying gives a similar boost to Bankai in terms of power and also giving a massive boost in all areas, I find it hard to believe he isn't the strongest but I do believe Starkk at his strongest is a similar threat to Ulquiorra's first release, Yammy is powerful but if you put him against anyone relative in power, as long as they have a decent level of intelligence they should be able to beat him without much issue since unlike Ulquiorra, Starkk, Harribel, and Barrigan he has no good defensive properties so he's powerful, but relatively weak compared to the other top 4.

Personally I had thought that Ulquiorra was #2 in his second release. With Stark having his fusion and first release, as well as a Cero technique with a 1000x multiplier (he had one Cero that launched 1000 normal ceros simultaneously and a second Cero that merged 1000 ceros, both required charge time but the latter definitely has the 1000x, this is ignoring his strongest cero technique, that pack of soul partition wolves) multiplier compared to Ulquiorra’s Cero techniques that were nebulously above the standard Gray Ray Cero’s 10xCero multiplier). Even if I assume that Stark were only slightly stronger than Ulquiorra in base, the release forms would give Stark a 20x multiplier and Ulquiorra a 100x multiplier, then the techniques would give a final multiplier around 20000x for Stark and somewhere above 1000x for Ulquiorra if I were to highball it I would guess the lanza del relampago does not bring Ulquiorra past 10,000x his base power, at half Stark’s 20,000x base. Unless Ulquiorra’s base is substantially stronger than Stark’s, Stark should be around twice as strong as Ulquiorra when they are at full power

Something I was hoping you'd touch on was that while Ulquiorra appears to experience surprise, frustration, and contentment they are relatively mild. Part of what defines Ulquiorra is how his aspect of death manifests and isolates him from his own kind. While capable of understanding and experiencing some amount of emotion I imagine the effects of As Nodt's fear might be somewhat stifled. Ulquiorra has been described as more mechanical than hollow both in his fighting style and his lack of hunger; something that is considered both primal & fundamental to what defines a hollow. That said I imagine that while he might have some physical resistance to As Nodt's schrift, even after he recognizes himself as being afflicted, his lack of experience with fear might offset some of his bodies' natural resistance or limited ability to experience emotion; as it's something he struggles with, not even really being able to experience pain from what we've seen when he tears out and crushes his own eyes without so much as flinching. I also imagine that if he did have a non-primal fear it'd be that same isolation he experienced as a hollow; so seeing the tree he connected with burning away might stir those same feelings. My thoughts aside this was an incredible breakdown and I thoroughly enjoyed it. '-'b

it is actually very difficult to rank the Espada Azen choose, on the one hand because of Azen's Kurohitsugi it is pretty much guaranteed no Espada could hide anything from Azen, but on the other hand I believe Azen ranked some Espada out of spite, ie Luppi to spite Grimmjow, Baraggan ranked 2nd feels spiteful, and to spite Nnoitra he kept the 3rd Espada female

Tbh the biggest thing I would argue is that the fear wouldn't be able to work on Ulquiorra, but not because of him potentially not being able to feel fear. If a hollowfied bankai ichigo could barely cut Ulquiorra's skin in base, then I don't think one of As Nodt's Thorns could peirce Ulquiorras skin. And even with a full power hollowfied getsuga, Ulquiorra didn't even have to block the attack in his first resurrection state. He protected himself with just spiritual pressure, Aizen has stated that you can nullify another spiritual pressure with your own. So in theory, at least in Segunda Etapa, Ulquiorra should be able to counter it simply because of how much stronger Ulquiorra is compared to Ichigo, who at the time was about as strong or stronger than Byakuya.

People overrate the Sternritter too much. Yes, they are extremely powerful, but they dont surpass the Shinigami by a large margin(not counting the Elites and Gremmy) Byakuya was able to cut through As' Blut just with Shikai, but people say He is stronger than Quilge, the Sternritter who was able to put a broken neck back in place after being "demolished " by Ayon and receive Fullbring Zangetsu, the sword that made a swing of his blade look like a Getsuga Tensho,to the neck.

As Nodt's the fear is OP but As Nodt literally just stands there in Blut vene trying to activate his ability. I can see Kyoraku beheading As Nodt with a heavy slash through Blut Vene.

I think people assume that Ulquiorra is emotionless when that isn't quite true. Ulquiorra is stoic and cold but he still very much has emotions, his arc wasn't about gaining emotions it was about recognizing and understanding them. The whole relationship between him and Orihime is predicated on his constant rejection and confusion towards emotions his own and others, contrasted by Orihime an empathetic character that leads with her emotions and understands others. Fear is definitely something that Ulquiorra can feel and in many ways it's one of the emotions that he's the most familiar with.

Based on the fact it not only takes Shinigami decades to significantly improve (Shunsui saying Hitsugaya won’t surpass him for around another 100 years for example) but also struggling with the likes of Tsukishima who got his arm taken by a mere Fullbring Ichigo who is obviously no where near Shinigami Fullbring infused or Shinigami Hollowfied Ichigo. Both of those versions have around twice the reiatsu of a captain just like base Aizen as he stated when using the Hogyoku to create Wonderweiss. Unohana who would dick down the version of Byakuya As Nodt fought told Ichigo his reishi is similar to ours as in the captains, ours includes her. Then she realized he was only at half strength and said he’s truly their trump card From what I’ve seen most fans just don’t understand the hierarchy and what the limit of pure Shinigami, Hollows, etc is so you end up with silly conclusions like the Gotei significantly improving which in turn makes the Stern Ritter way stronger than they actually are. As Nodt’s fear and the use of his own Bankai was the reason he ended destroying Byakuya. He wouldn’t even get the chance to land a blow on someone as powerful as Ulquiorra even if his fear worked which it obviously would not when even Byakuya wasn’t fully affected by it. Ulquiorra is the same dude who easily stopped Kisuke’s Zanpaktou without even drawing his sword. The guy who was hardly affected by masked Bankai Ichigo (someone way above Byakuya against As Nodt at that point) and had him on his knees in 2 fucking attacks. I’m not even gonna keep going Ulquiorra washes this dude it’s not even funny. The only way he would remotely be a threat is if Ulquiorra was caught in his vollstandig like Rukia which is confusing with how Byakuya broke it and then neither were caught afterwards. Worst case scenario is just that he has to go 1st release, As Nodt is 100% fucked after that if it even gets that far. ESPECIALLY considering Hollows deal more damage to Quincy. Some Espada were neighboring transcendence, even just by virtue of whom they fought while not getting roflstomped. Just because most of the powerful hollows were killed off during the prior arcs doesn't mean the power scale jump lacks any shared power levels. Further just because Yhwach is transcendent does not mean all the sternritter are, nor does it mean that any sternritter would have been Dangai Ichigo's opponent (some would be, but it certainly isn't the default). In a general sense this matchup might have required Ulquiorra to have survived and trained before the TYBW to fully reach the power levels assumed in this video, but he wasn't that far from this power tier when he fought Ichigo

I remember people used to give me hell and still do at times when I said that an upper rank like one of the stronger Captains ie Shunsui, Unohana, especially Yamaji would be able to beat Ulquiorra! Idk about Ukitake because he’s always sickly but if it weren’t for him having tuberculosis he’d be in the category of upper strength Captains. People seem to think that given that the animation and spectacle for the Ichigo vs Ulquiorra fight that Ulquiorra could beat almost anyone which is ridiculous and on some fangirl nut rider stuff lol. Like I said the fight was only animated the way that it was to give more spectacle to the fight and to make it standout because it was an important fight for Ichigo. Ulquiorra was a major hurdle for Ichigo to over come in order to get Orihime back and to also prove a point that no matter what he will not stop! But for some reason people also seem to forget it wasn’t even a close fight at all once Ichigo went Vasto Lorde! It wasn’t a fair fight for Ulquiorra Ichigo destroyed him easily! So VL Ichigo was leagues above Ulquiorra but for some reason when you’d bring up Ulquiorra wouldn’t be able to beat an upper ranked Captain people always seem to say “So you think so and so could hang with VL Ichigo!? Or, So you think so and so could beat VL Ichigo!?” And for the first answer I think so and so could probably do better than Ulquiorra did! And secondly, no I never said they could! But it’s a large gap between VL Ichigo and Ulquiorra lol. A gap that some Higher Captains could fill better than he could!

P.s. I also forgot to mention that Aizen(for sure), but Gin, and Tosen as well were all insinuated to be stronger than all the Arrancar. That’s why scenes were shown like when they beat Baragan, Tosen speed blitzing Grimmjow, cutting off his arm, and using Kido before Grimmjow could even pull out his sword! And some people say “but but but because Aizen was there and blah blah blah.” And I say bologna! Because Grimmjow had every intention of fighting Tosen right then and there in front of Aizen. Aizen stopped Grimmjow AFTER Grimmjow reached for his sword! And lastly that’s one reason Aizen got tired of Arrancar after awhile and cut Harribel down himself and just took Tosen and Gin with him. He knew that the Arrancar weren’t even worthy of his time or their help. And I know Aizen cared about and respected Tosen and Gin more than the Arrancar but if he felt that someone wasn’t strong enough to help him with his dream he had no problem leaving them behind. I mean for those who don’t know Tosen did not die because of what Hisagi did to him he died because Aizen blew him up and killed him! Because he said Tosen wouldn’t be able to live with himself for what he had done.

Ulquiorra was born as a vasto lorde from the sands of Hueco Mundo which are the remains of ancient hollows, instead of becoming a hollow by being a corrupted human soul. Hollows are purified when a soul reaper's zanpakuto kills them and they either go to Hell or go to the soul society as a plus depending on the deeds they did as a human. Ulquiorra was never human and he disintegrated into sand upon death, so I legit think he doesn't exist anymore.

I think you are underestimating the psychological impact Ulquiorra's nihilism and apathetic demeanor would affect Äs Nödt. It would tear away, exponentially, at Äs' mental stability. As this happens, Ulquiorra would be even more dismissive of his opponent's ability to harm him, further buffering him from fear. Add to that the density and toxicity of Ulquiorra's reiatsu, Äs could literally be poisoned and driven mad with fear and panic. Add on the idea that Juha could "rebuke" him for a loss...

There’s one thing you didn’t take into consideration. Ulquiorra’s nihilism and apathetic demeanor wouldn’t affect As Nodt as badly as you say because Ulq’s power is far inferior to As Nodt. It’s not like Rukia who could resist the fear on top of being able to stomp As Nodt as far as combat goes Ulquiorra scales below Yammy, who pre timeskip Byakuya was able to easily dismantle along with Kenpachi, with Byakuya not even using his Bankai in attack mode. And to add insult to injury, he then fought Kenny who’s also stronger than Yammy Keep in mind they killed second form Yammy, when it was Res Yammy who was said in the manga, novel and data book to be the strongest Espada, the manga calling out Ulquiorra by name

A match up of these two would be very interesting since there are discussions that Ichigo is nerfed during the Arrancar Arc because of his substitute shinigami badge and this was stated during Fullbring Arc, so the gap between the power levels of Ulq and Byakuya may not be that far off.

I think The Fear should honestly be super effective against Ulqiorra. Considering even basic emotion confuses him when he is opened to it, a power like The Fear would absolutely break his mind. But it's Bleach. Popularity is a power in and of itself, so Ulqiorra would somehow get the win.

I woulf like to dissagree, the biggest fear, no matter what, is fear of unknown, thats why fearing death is peoples biggest fear uluqiorra accepted death without any fear 2 times (once when ichigo shot a point blank cero, 2nd when he faded away) the only emotion he has ever shown, is surprise. He is very complicated bcuz he has lived in the world of nothingness most of his life and has learned not to fear, and its not like he is afraid of losing someone like kuchiki siblings were. And the biggest advantege is him being a hollow, which is a poison to quincy.

Maybe I missed but could it be discussed a bit more the reaction to fear as a primal instinct that could happen. You mostly talked about Ulquiorra reaction being a FREEZ response to fear, how about the other response of fighting. Alot of animals instinct when in fear is not to freez, but to fight. Examples of cats fighting big dogs of or small animals attacking really big ones in fear. What if that would be Ulquiorras reaction to fearing As Nodt. I understand OFC that would be the same outcome but just small addition to discussion.

I feel like ulquiorra will take this simple because of his raw power and second release. As nodt has a very dangerous ability don't get me wrong but that really all he has, plus another reason he destroyed byakuya is because he stole his bankai other then that as nodt doesn't really have anything else going for him besides his fear ability.

Yhwach said that in order to steal a Bankai, you have to have the raw power to control it. And people forget *Pre Timeskip* Byakuya had the raw stats to kill someone above Ulquiorra along with Kenpachi, and then fight, injure, and take hits from this same Kenny that’s stronger than Yammy

Ulquiorra has this one if we assume As Nodt’s power works like Pennywise: he can only use his power if you’re afraid. And we all know Ulquiorra isn’t afraid of anything.

Except it actually doesn't. Äs Nödt's Schrift invokes the very primal sensation of fear, and not really of anything in particular. He doesn't need his victims to be afraid to hit them. Also, Ulquiorra absolutely fears things. Heck, I'd argue his nihilism is in a sense rooted in an existential fear of things not existing if he can't see them, or of his original state as a Hollow that only had sight and nothing else.

That being said, he has potentially less experience with fear than Byakuya did, and he was already unbalanced by Orihime's kindness, compassion, and belief in the "heart". He might not react well to feeling that uncontrollable primal fear, especially if he can't understand it.

Ulquiorra will feel fear, as I think that people forget how As Nodt's powers work sometimes. Ulquiorra cannot cognitively understand fear or even feel but at the end of day he is still an arrancar a living being. He will feel fear instinctually in fact it may hit him harder than any other character due to him not understanding fear. Also note that As Nodt's reishi thorns just need to touch Ulquiorra to affect him with fear and As Nodt can just use his Völlstandig if he fails to hit him. Now Ulquiorra does have fire power on his side but I don't see him winning in his first resurreccion. Now if he goes Segunda Etapa the fight would be his as he can blow up As Nodt but that's only if he hasn't lost before using it. So it's really whether or not Ulquiorra decides to use his 2nd release quickly.

The most basic fear all living things have is of death. The loss of life. Everything living things instinctually do is to continue living. Eating, drinking water, reproducing, etc. Ulquiorra didn't even fear death.

I'll be really honest, Ulquiorra would win this. He's a hollow, he's literal poison to As Nodt. But I did also think about the fight between Ichigo and Ulquiorra. Arguably the only reason Ichigo won was because White surprised Ulquiorra. During the main part of the fight Ulquiorra didn't make any mistakes, but going into his fight against White he seemed to still use the rationality of him being a human (atleast from his dialogue) and only looked confused and surprised when Ichigo transformed/ acted full hollow. As Nodt would likely get the jump on Ulquiorra, surprising him with being able to fill Ulquiorra with a fear, but I cannot imagine Ulquiorra not being able to rationalize himself out of it or being able to ignore this fear. I'm genuinely sad he never survived the fight with Ichigo, but Kubo has a habit of killing off anyone with broken abilities unless theyre the main character

Oh Ulquiorra wins this no questions ask. That dude is the living embodiment of a emotionless hollow being. Nodt fear ability should be less effective against him. At best Nodt will properly push the "4th" espada to release his full power and it's over. This is the same espada who didn't feel anything when he was about to killed vasta lorde ichigo.

Seeing arrancar vs sternritter makes me wonder just how many of the top espada would have had to have survived in order to defend Las noches from the invasion at the start of tybw. Like yes hallibel and nel on their own weren't enough. But with Ulquiora, Stark, Barrigan, even yami. Could honestly be a solid spin off alt timeline manga on its own.

None of the sternritter, Yhwach included, can do anything about Respira. The only way they can avoid losing is by simply not pushing the fight. There's a reason Quincies' whole thing is wiping out the hollows forever, and they never even considered encroaching on the the king's territory while he was still around.

Pre-auswhalen Lille absolutely could beat Barragan by entirely bypassing Respira, while post-auswhalen Lille, despite being stronger, has no way to actually beat Respira, because based on the events of the story he seems to have lost the power of the x-axis. We can conclude that pretty definitively, as if he could use it, he would've just killed Nanao with it instead of letting her defeat him with his own entirely new and unrelated power set.

The thing about fear is that in order to feel it you must have something to lose. You have to care about nothing. A state of absolute nihilism can breed no fear because no threat, no psychological, spiritual or physical effect can make you afraid because they simply... Don't matter. I feel like Ulqiorra before his fight with Ichigo would indeed be immune to fear since there is nothing he axtually cares about -including himself- though in a theoretical world where Ulqiorra survived his fight with ichigo, he might be much more susceptible.

Ulquiorra, if he takes fight absolutely seriously, wins with no difficulty. If Ulquiorra plays around, then it is a stalemate. ÄS NÖDT can not even hope to catch up or damage Ulquiorra, but being weakened by fear he will not be able to permanently take down ÄS NÖDT.

I enjoyed how you authored the hypothetical fight. if it was actually done by the mangaka, I think that it would be very much cast in such a way. I gotta say though, my boy ulquiorra would definitely make quicker work of him. Ulquiorra is the embodiment of cold calculating efficiency, and while he may be capable of feeling fear, he struggles to understand it, it's simply in the back seat of his objective nature.

Ulqiorra is overrated he isn’t as strong as you guys make him out to be. He is no.4 no deeper meaning than that, and for the number disappearing so did Harribel, Barragan & Stark. And he does show fear such as when ichigo hollowfy for the first time against him. Long story short he could wipe lower sternritters, but any other Quincy floors the natural Arrancar.

You also have to consider that Quincy tech was pretty advanced to be able to create a device that can steal a Shinigami's bankai. Who's to say that they can't create one that steals an Arrancar's resurrection(s) too? Yes, I know Quincy and Hollow reiatsu does not mix well but I am sure they would create a work around for it considering how Sternritter J, Quilge Opie used a natural ability of Sklaverei to absorb Ayon and gained corrupt hollow characteristics so we have seen in action it can work. IMAGINE As Nodt stealing Segunda Etapa and releasing it on top of his Vollständig....you talk about FEAR? Would be an awesome concept to have explored.

There are two fights that I can't get out of my head that I'd really like to see a video on if possible, both of them involving Barragan. The first: Barragan vs Lille Barro. It feels to me like this is likely the one time where an ability (in this case the X-axis) will legitimately be able to pierce Barragan's defenses on its own. The second: Barragan vs Pernida Parnkgjas. Here it feels like Pernida's Schrift of The Compulsory, where in almost any other instance would be a terrifying ability to find yourself facing, is here rendered useless by Barragan's Respira aura. Yes, Pernida's nerves can cause it to mangle and destroy anything they infect, but it's not going to mean anything if the nerves rot away before they strike home. And if Barragan manages to land Respira on Pernida itself, it is utterly screwed. The only way out I see is if it severs uncorrupted parts of itself to regenerate into clones, but just more Respira uses are going to render that moot. Come to think of it, the only two members of the Schutstaffel I _don't_ see Barragan handily destroying are Lille Barro and arguably Gerard Valkyrie.

But I’m sure the first time or rather a second emotion to that of the heart, would be quite visceral to see, watching him feel so deeply, and learning to overcome that using the heart he learned from Orihime.

I'll give to Ulquiorra as well,as you said will The Fear even work on him? it's supposed to be Fear itself so it'll latch to something eventually, Rukia's weird "frozen wood frog" ability nullified that, would Segunda Etapa have a similar effect and yeah he would probably nuke the place as a fallback If anything his fear may be that his worldview would be proven wrong , so Inoue was the character that kinda facilitated that. I always thought that he had a fear of hope so to speak.
