I have been searching for a year now for this full broadcast, great work on getting your hands on it! Such a significant part of our history.

I used to wonder who Paul Eddington was channeling whenever he played Jim Hacker giving a speech on Yes, Minister. I think now I know. :D

A man who cared for his people over political power. He worked for compromise and equality, and in hindsight, where politics has turned to history, almost everything he did benefited the vast majority of people in Northern Ireland. However, the hardliners in his party who, while this is negative I also believe to be the truth, hellbent on their beliefs and unwilling to compromise in the benefit of the people under their rule, ended up undoing almost everything he did. I believe Chichester-Clark and the pendulum swinging back to the hardliners was a major cause of trouble escalating. They did not care for everybody like a true leader should, and poured fuel on flames. Chichester-Clark in my opinion was a yes-man. He did as he was told without considering the people, and that had consequences that made the situation in NI worse.

Right Ideas but wrong man saying it. His tone is so condescending. Quintessential Big House unionist (talking down to the 'Peasants' of Ulster)

06:03 is the freedom to pursue the unchristian path of communal strife & sectarian bitterness really more important to you than all the benefits of the British welfare state? Every Shankill Road resident: YES!

30 years of murder and a GFA that ceded much more to Nationalists than what was proposed in '69. Sounds like O'Neill had a point, Paisley was a wrecker who helped 'People's Democracy' & the IRA start a civil war by attacking NI's stability from both sides.
