Being a hairstylist for 10+ years. My heart goes out to hairstylist who work in those corporate places. They deserve to get paid more for their time and talents especially when they don’t have help or assistants. She did a fantastic job and the fact that she was so professional and taking the time to explain things and being transparent (even from the Walmart hairstylist too) 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 love seeing the passion, they should charge more because corporate companies are getting most of that.

naw! that was cool if you want it to be better go home and roll it!!! next day it will be perfect, after all that work on bleach and color you are so tired that you don't have time for those perfect curls. Maybe if she was white I would say yes but black hair takes so much time and those curls are just going to fall out anyway. To get the look you are talking about you would need the marcel irons the kind we used in the 90s on the stove, nobody got time fo dat no more!

Im so sorry this happened to you.🥹. The service industry can be so rewarding but so hard. I love it! I also have blue purple hair now but I went through it getting my hair colored. The first person didn’t bleach (didn’t lift my hair to the right shade and on top of that half my head was more lifted than the other side) or dye my hair the right color (I asked for blue and she gave me green after purposely telling me she used a cheaper dye since I have a lot of hair) and knew she didn’t know what she was doing. The second person tried to fix it but evidently didn’t give me the right color again. I plan on regrowing my hair and just starting from scratch next time with virgin hair and a whole new color choice and I pray I get someone like your hair stylist because she did everything right 👏🏾

The price was very reasonable for the color especially. Thanks for tipping . When going to big box salons, always ask the stylist themselves if the store gives the tip to them. Because a lot of times when people tip by card the stylist doesn’t get it. Same thing at other businesses.

Girl, your hair came AMAZING. I don’t know if you remember my telling you in your Walmart video that I was going to try Ulta Beauty to get a silk press. I’m so mad that my experience was a disaster🤦🏾‍♀️. Never again. For one, at Least your stylist was Black. From the moment I got to the back for my appointment it started out bad. The young lady who I scheduled with didn’t want to do my hair when she saw me. I saw her whisper something to her coworker then after waiting a few minutes that’s same coworker call me up to start on my hair. So this second stylist began washing my hair. I feel her getting my hair nice and drenched for the shampoo, I feel a little tickle on my hair then I see she’s reaching for a towel thinking she’s going to tuck it at the neck of my cape to not get me wet…no, she was done and sat me yo wrap the towel on my head. I said that’s it?! Did you wash my hair. She said yeah let’s get you to my chair so I blow dry you. I should have walked away right then but noooo, let’s give this overly nice girl the benefit of the doubt. Now, I have a lot of hair; long hair at that. It’s not thick like it once was before but it’s still a lot of hair. This poor girl struggling to blow dry hair with the dryer in one hand and a barrel brush in the other. Then she switched to using a paddle brush alternating between the two. I was like Lord please save me😩🤦🏾‍♀️. She’s done blow drying my hair and now she can’t decide which flat iron she should use. Right before she started I told her, my hair TAKES AND HOLD A LOT OF HEAT and I’m not tender headed. She said ok that’s good to know and laughed in relief. When she was finally done flat ironing my she was so proud of herself and was hyping me up about how good my looks and all that……🤦🏾‍♀️sister, when I tell you my hair looked no different from the blow dry I wanted to wring this girls neck and ask for my money back. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED and a waste of time and money. I kept a good spirit and said to myself I’ll flat iron it over again when I get home like I always have to do. I never got around to it but NEVER EVER again will I go to Ulta Beauty to get my hair done.

I used to work at Ulta and yesss the hair salon girlies work hard and gets it done. At the end of the night, they get all their tips handed to them in cash from the register so tipping is def appreciated! And yes, Ulta prices are Ulta prices so def pricey lol 😅, but they use professional salon grade products so it’s expected(which are typically SUPER expensive).

The key to a good silk press is the blowout. I think the reason why she needed a second pass of the flatiron is because her blowout wasn't that great. However, in the end, your hair looks nice and soft.

This is beautiful and I’ve paid twice the amount of your balance after factoring in buying hair and paying for the sew in and styling, did not even get any color. It was for my 30th bday and I really wanted to treat myself after not getting my hair done for 1 year +. But I may have kept it for 2 weeks, I know crazy as heck, my scalp is just not set up for anything that can’t allow air flow, it gets so itchy and makes my skin crawl. Love this color on you, I think it was well worth it.
