@James-m3x1b I started following this build from level 1. There are a few videos regarding this build. Before the mask, he was running a call of the Brotherhood Topaz ring. Like he mentioned, you will need some skills before this build really starts to take off. I ended up buying the ring and mask for a divine each. But then again, I did buy a divine for around 3 to 5 bucks from a 3rd party site. I did learn that paying attention to where you're warping can help as well as falling back to get a better position. There have been times when I trap myself into a hoard of enemies. The poison enemies in act 3 are bit hard to make sure to warp around a lot. Other than that try to get the gear as close to what he has as you can. It helps.

I've got currency to boost the build once I get to level 80+. If you got the gear for this build and you are not being able to do it, I'm afraid is a skill issue, which can be improved by practice. The fact that you aren't being able to do what he's doing now doesn't mean you won't be able to do it 2 days later.

damage from mana jewels and those nodes are very important for this build to work in early mapping or you will be dying to small random things in early maps like me :D i still think spark playstyle is more chill to farm maps(especially if u have that glove that stuns everything with electric damage) but this is a great alternate if u like to click more buttons just prioritize the jewels and shield setup or u will feel really horrible struggling to survive. great video and explanation !

I've been playing variants of this build as a mostly but not strictly self-found character - the ball lightning / lightning warp gameplay is more engaging to me that just filling the screen with sparks. So here are some observations from someone who's doing mid-level maps and doesn't have the resources to purchase the items needed for the fully evolved version of this build. Getting enough mana to sustain both "damage taken from mana before life" and costs of archmage is a challenge, and that was just grabbing all the nodes from the passive tree without any damage taken from mana jewels. Even with Eldritch Battery I didn't have enough life and mana to feel comfortable with the levels of either mana or life. If you can get a shield with good block, that block cluster is a very cheap way to get extra survivability. I still found I was dying more in maps than was comfortable. My first change was to go back to using energy shield, but I still didn't have enough for good survivability. The big change I made was switching my chest to Ghostwrithe. This is a cheap unique that gives an enormous amount of energy shield (if you're invested in ES nodes). It was enough that I felt confident picking up chaos innoculation which takes a whole category of damage off the table. Running Ghostwrithe meant it was no longer possible to run both Archmage and Cast on Freeze, so I opted for Cast on Freeze and Grim Feast. It's a skill I haven't heard talked about much in sorc circles, but allows you to overcap your energy shield to up to double it's normal value. I'm not pretending it's anywhere near the damage of the non-ES version but it's increased my survivability to the point where I'm not tearing my hair out from burned maps. The requirement for 160 spirit to run both Archmage and Cast on Freeze does make gearing much less flexible.

I just went for budget reasons (and better transistion from campaign) to a es/life hybrid, it works well enough. atm at t9 maps. my biggest issue is that i slammed a staff at level 38 so well that it is too expensive to get even a comparable wand. also what you run: acceleration or deceleration largely depends on your cast speed imho.

i can only advise to cook it up yourself. Enjoy trial and error. Especially if you get the Belt, it should be easy to make it work. And after it works you can start fine tuning. You have a great base with this guide, build it your own way from here :)

Thanks, I've been following this build for like 2 weeks now and I can't have enough of it. It is so much fun! Sadly can't still afford the jewels to drop MoM (every worthy one costs a fortune now). A question. In your CoF gem setup you use considered casting. However, this support gem has been changed to work if you youself cast it. This means this shouldn't work in a CoF, since it is not self-cast. Instead, I am using considered casting for lightning warp to add 40 more dmg buff instead of soul drain, bc with 2% mana on kill essentially solves mana all problems in dense maps.

In addition to that the cost of Items in general is too much in this Game and it forces you to trade if you want to progress. The Jewels alone cost 1 Div for the worst roll PER Jewel.

One note: resistances cannot become negative in PoE2 the way they can in PoE1, at least for enemies. Getting that much exposure + pen isn't necessary because enemies have max 75% resist. Also, if you convert lightning damage to cold, why use lightning curse? Shouldnt you use cold curse and cold exposure, or is the damage converted to cold after all of those calculations?

Penetration can't go below 0, but exposure and curse can go negative. Damage is still lightning. I'm not converting to cold with call of the Brotherhood anymore.

Btw, I'm not sure if you can go under 0 resist in poe2, so that exposure + curse becomes a diminishing return. Also I'm not sure if strike twice is supposed to apply 2 shocks with max magnitude each, I thought ur allowed to reach max shock value using 2 shocks ( so basically instead of 1 80%+ shock you have 40%+ shock and another 40%+ shock - aka stacking maxed out shocks with smaller hits )

Lexy been mixing up your build a little suit my gear and needs everything is fine except mana… Is flat mana and mana regen the best thing to go for over mana on kill recoup etc. My mana on all my gear is over 100 with mana regen and majority of things over 40% but still using flasks regularly…

Lower level Ball Lightning is a good idea, but it doesn't make much of a difference since most of the cost comes from Archmage. IDK the cursor doesn't need to be that close to targets for me.

Great video, this gives me a goal to aim for in getting rid of MoM when I can get a few damage taken from mana before life jewels. I tried your build Lexyu, but CI MOM version of this. The dmg is lower compare to your build but the tankiness is better. I'm using Shock Siphon on Lightning warp so I can gain 4% ES every time I killed a shocked enemy, it's super ez to do with this build anyway. My lightning conduit still can kill t16 map boss in 1 hit, pinnacle boss after 3-4 hits, so I think the dmg's still good. This life version is more expensive. Maybe I will tried it after farming more currencies LOL

This is such a fun build, i was using a version of this in T8-T11, but it is so much harder to play this in controller. Since consoles auto-lock, its very clunky to aim Ball Lightning and I found Breaches and Rituals almost impossible with the initial rush of mobs pretty much stun locking me. Had to switch back to Spark. It was super fun while it lasted

I built my own Lightning Warp mana stacker and made some adjustments after I found your video but I go MoM+CI - with enough mana, due to arcane surge scaling the mana regen penalty doesn't outweigh the pros of extra gear freedom (no chaos res requirement = cheaper better options for rarity/int/other res) and some other personal tech. Half the league is playing Stormweaver Spark Archmage, I fully expect nerfs but think Lightning Warp will survive and actually be the dark horse winner if LC can keep even 50% of it's damage for the boss killing aspect. Excited to crush the first official league of PoE2 in a year lol

The problem with killing rares and bosses with LC is that you swap to your staff and your Shield Rarity becomes useless when it matters the most, so you have to try and kill it with LW ;d

I play in similar build as you but my job is chronomancer I think your build is quite powerful May I ask a question? Can we use Meteor + Echo instead of lightning strike? In my tree, it is focused on lightning. Can it work for Frozen? Thanks for sharing this great build 👍👍👍👍

Chronomancer lacks a lot of damage. Meteor won't deal as much damage as lightning conduit.

05:13 Are you sure that resistance can be negative? Because I heard that in POE2, we can only reduce the resistance to 0.

Only Exposure can lower below zero :D

That's what i call a true build. Great job dude. Cool stuff. I wouldn't even call it broken. Everything sounds reasonable. But GGG probably will nerf that as unintended 😩😭
