I'm sorry to say guys that I am no longer doing subscriber builds. They have become a logistics nightmare and so many people are requesting them that there is no fair way to chose who I build for. With that being said I am more than happy to answer your guys' questions and give you recommendations on parts. If you have any questions don't hesitate to DM me on youtube, twitter @techbymatt, or just as a comment. I read every comment and try to reply to as many questions as possible, but sometimes some slip through the cracks. As my audience grows it becomes increasingly hard to reply to everyone, but for the time being I will do my best to answer all questions that can't easily be answered with a 2 second google search. You guys watching my videos means the world to me and I hope to keep making videos and helping people with builds for years to come! Please upvote this comment so others can see.

Justin Pham For that price range, don't go with a laptop. You'll get little to nothing out of a laptop for that price. But as for a desktop. You could buy an hp pavillion 550-044 for $270 on amazon, has an i3 and 2tb hdd. Then get a gtx 750 ti used off ebay for $80. You have a $350 gaming pc.

Good job!! I've done several budget builds for friends, family, etc. and they are by far the most time consuming and take the most effort to build. For 250 that's a pretty decent little rig, it should work fine until whoever gets it can save up some money and afford something a little more high end.

When people want to get a feel of what they want they tend to lean towards the big tech channels where to them a mid range build to them is a low range build to most others and all parts are new and their idea of budget is like $400, what I like about your videos is you show people that there's much better cheaper yet as effective ways of building pcs, keep it up man.

This really doesn't overcome the performance of both the PS4 or Xbox One, sure the hardware is slightly better but the true performance (because of console optimization) is kind of worse. Try to play Doom 4 at an almost fluent 60 FPS at medium settings 1080p, this PC won't hold that. A ton of recent games aren't even playable anymore on this PC. Now I'm not saying this build is bad, definitely it's a really nice build for its price but I would much rather have a console for gaming.

console killer. Absolutely not. In metro last light, ps4 outperforms it, at 1080p at Ultra settings. Why are we using skyrim? And what settings were you using middle earth. Anything lower than high/ultra settings and basically it weaker than ps4 again. This is not a console killer. 4 gigs of ram, in 2016 is this a joke. Your computer will crash after a few applications are open. Talk about future proofing. And the 2gb of ddr3 in the gtx 750 is now becoming obsolete. Street fighter now won't let you use textures higher than low if you have 2gb of vram. That only 1 game I've mentioned. Others won't let you do the same thing. And you can't overall the unknown i5 you have in the description because of the motherboard and the cpu is not k series. Why don't you use bf4 or swbf? Witcher 3? Consoles run them perfectly.

+Sage Fox It's not all about the gfx card. You can get a 970 and the ps4 will beat it. The ps4 cost $300 to 350 not $400. And besides that you need a $600 pc to beat the ps4 $400 to get close. The weak ram, and cpu hold it back and the ps4 shows far better performance.

Thanks for this video. As a Mac user, gaming always sucked but I could never bring myself to spend a lot of money on hardware just to game. Your vid inspired me to attempt a budget build and I was able to build a system that could play most of the games I wanted to play (Xcom2, Sim City, etc) with great visuals. My system cost me $160 CAD, (i3 2200, 320W PSU, GeForce 750 Ti OC, 4GB Ram, 500 GB HDD, Win 10.) Keep up the awesome work!

Really impressive video for a relatively unknown youtuber like you. Keep up the good work. I also hope that you don't stick only with gaming related stuff. I also like building pc's out of used parts for fun. So here's an ideia for a video. Make a pc out of used parts focused for work and productivity, that can run 2 or 3 Linux virtual machines at the same time.. If you are unfamiliar with the virtual machine scene, this might be an interesting project for you to explore other sides of pc building that are not necessarily related to gaming. Have fun and GL.

+Chris TechsAZ It's definitely a good way to go. I would just recommend trying to find one with a standard atx or matx motherboard in it so you can use the motherboard in another case. I shoot my videos with a cannon t5i with the kit lense. I'm trying to pick one editing software to stick with. I like all the functionality of premiere, but enjoy the simplicity and ease of use of imovie so I may make a hackintosh one day to run final cut pro and see how I like that.

I'm thinking about doing this build, should I worry about the compatibility notes on Pcpartpicker? Also, can I expect it to run other new games coming out this year, like Total War: Warhammer?

for games that can't hold 60 i recommend downloading bandicam and just locking the fps to 30 and using vsync. i hate fluctuating fps and the juttery feeling of panning the camera though

I know virtually nothing about computers, i just know that my laptop is super slow, and i want something better to play League of Legends. What would you suggest for around $500, give or take a little? preferably with not like a ton of extra assembly, just the standard

Hey Matt...I've been suffering from loads of frame drops on old pc. It is an extreme low end pc. My motherboard just crashed, so im thinking of upgrading my pc....can you suggest me a Mainboard, an APU and a set of Ram for playing Gta V...Far Cry 4...Maybe witcher. My budget is like between $100 and $150. It would be really helpful. Thank You, Tahiyat.

Nicely done. How come you could use the W7 COA from the HP machine? I thought the keys were tied to the motherboards.

Hi, great video, I bought a similar motherboard and the same case and power supply and I'm having a bit of trouble with the 20+4 pin connector fitting into the 24 pin female connector. How did you do it?

Great video Matt! Amazing what you can do with the money! Quick question. I have a G3258 CPU and an Asus GT 650 2Gb DDR3 GPU. What would you recommend I upgrade first, and to what? Thanks again for the amazing content!

+Christopher Flanagan Well if you're looking for the most performance upgrade in gaming then upgrade the gpu first. Im assuming you meant gtx 650? You could upgrade to a gtx 960 or r9 380 for around $180. But if you are happy with your gaming experience right now for that same $180 you could get an i5 processor. You wont have to change anything because it will fit in the motherboard you already have this will give you more performance in tasks such as video editing. Im not sure of your exact needs/budget so I can't give that definitive of an answer. I hope this helped.

with graphics cards it's nearly always better to get something older, but top end, rather than any of the current low priced junk.
@OriginalNintendoDude
@OriginalNintendoDude 8 жыл бұрын
That's true when talking about really low end cards like the gt 730 etc., but the 750ti is very solid card and for $90, the price to performance is great, it's faster than the ps4 actually.

Got my pc for around $250 and then I got a 750ti for my birthday. Specs: CPU:i5 3470 RAM:8GB Geil Corsa OC/XMP Ram Mobo:Asus B75-M LX PLUS GPU:ASUS DIRECT CUII 750ti HDD:500GB WD Drive PSU:CX500m Case:Thermaltake Versa G2 with a broken USB 3.0 front panel connector Extras: Basic DVD Drive If I had bought a HD7970 it would have been an amazing PC that is super cheap!
