I used to own a B7 RS4 and wish I had’ve kept it, but I still have my manual E92 M3 Coupe and it’s N/A 4.0L V8 sounds fairly similar to the AUDI’s N/A 4.2L V8. My rear wheel drive BMW handles much better though because the all wheel drive RS4 suffers from understeer under hard braking and cornering … which I despise in a car. Lovely engine which loved to rev though.

Tämä 4.2l V8 kone löytyy B6 ja B7 sukupolvien Audi S4jstä. Ainakin A6/A8 malleissa saatavilla sama moottori. Näitä vanhempi B5 S4 omasi 2.7L tublaturbo V6 koneen. Todella hieno moottori muttei tahdo olla enää hyväkuntoisia yksilöitä saatavilla. Sitten 2010 luvulle tultaessa B8 S4 omasi 3L remmiahdetun V6 motin.

Best by far is a full custom 2.5 dual or with a x. X pipe sounds european while true dual has a raw almost US V8 sound.

I've sold vehicles for both BMW and Dodge dealerships, I can assure you that Audi's 4.2 is one of the finest tuned mass produced V8s in history. Although, there is no experience like driving a manual Challenger Hellcat.
