Ayato is awesome. I remember when before he was released, his E clone used to taunt enemies like Ambers dool and Ganyu E. They removed it for some reason, I don't understand why would Mihoyo remove such an awesome feature of the clone

They find it useless ig, i definitely prefer ganyu skill to just explode instead of waiting for it to explode, its much better on abyss Also u need it to explode right away to get his stack faster, if it explodes way later its a potential dmg lost just a bit

Even I was in this same delulu but it's actually a good thing that it explodes quickly because we get stacks quickly for high damage. So the taunt was a useless feature anyways.

Waow, as an Ayato main this shocks me.. After finishing his Quest, I finally him got last Nov 28. His gameplay reminds me of Hiei of Yuyu Hakusho. Imagine his water clone having taunt, Ayato himself would be grateful, not being interrupted because they will just attack the said clone.

I just started running marechaussee on him and it's such an improvement to my gladiator set. like 33k slashes on a team with furina, jean and yunjin

I'm impressed with the hunter set on Ayato. I keep getting good hunter pieces when farming for the skill set... and I'm really liking it! I have a decent gladiator set and heart of depth set, but always struggle to get enough crit rate for a crit damage circlet, even if using the black sword. The hunter set fixes that really nicely! Of course he has to be paired with Furina to get all the stacks, but even without Furina, the black sword's healing and getting hit by a couple enemies also triggers the hunter set fairly reliably.

Super fun team: Ayato(damage), Yaoyao(HP for heals and cores), Kuki(EM, hyperbloom, and Heals), and Raiden(ER and coordinated attacks for extra electro application and more hyperbloom coverage).

If you're gonna use hyperbloom then swap kuki/raiden with dendro mc Or nahida cause yao yao is a good healer but her der dendro application is not good. Or if you're using nahida then I'd recommend using xingqui/yelan & kuki shinobu alongside ayato.

@@axel32112 This is an obvious upgrade but I didn’t have Nahida at the time. I’ve since acquired her c2 and use her exclusively for hyperbloom teams.

Nymph's dream totally is behind Echoes of the offering (Guaranteeing you'd want to commit on Echoes). There's alot of videos/charts of damage tests surrounding Ayato's artifacts but I found that HoD is so good given that the domain is also Resin Efficient. You also forgot to mention about the A4 passive only working when Ayato has less than 40 energy and OFF FIELD. Both should be met in order to activate this.

I did mention that he gains energy when he's off-field, up to 40. As for the set comparison, I did my own math with some rough stats and including both Skill and Burst damage, Nymph's came out on top. If a bigger data pool comes out on this, I'll update the pinned comment.

Are Charlotte and Kaeya usable for Ayato freeze team as very budget team? Since I don't have Rosaria and Ganyu so I could use Kaeya for sub-dps and Charlotte and healer and Cryo-enabler too.

Nymphs dream is worse than echoes. Check out damage tests for more info. Nymphs is the best choice if you cant use echoes, but its not the best.

Let me help you make your game easier gladiator is by far the best and most suitable set for ayato

It's depends on weapon as well, if u're using harran or mistsplitter then glad will do better damage but if you're using jade cutter then HoD will do better dammage.

Its pretty good, boost normal attack dmg and gives nice crit rate, but to consistently utilize the set, you need furina or face tank everything with healers

maybe im confused by something but if his elemental skill is his primary damage why aren't like wolf fang and 2 piece (im awful at artifact names but the new set thats elemental skill dmg up) good for him ??

Because those attacks count as Normal Attacks

Yeah that's a pretty good sword, if u don't need amenoma's energy refund then that's the best option and also u need a healer to get the full affect.

Amenoma cause ayato doesn't need that much er on him unless he is a off filed hydro enabler. And also u can use finale of the deep(fontaine Craftable sword) though u need a healer for that

Yes, those are always Physical so they dont do anything for him unless you want to build for Physical.
