I have a quick question if you don't mind: when there's such a disparate negative value between the Region MV and the Region Sale (as in the sale average is much lower than the region market value), should that lead you to skip that item? I know you mentioned you don't worry about sale average, but as a complete beginner it's difficult to imagine a scenario where you could extract 980g MV when the average sale in the region is 292g for the Glittering Diamondshell as an example. Or 3.5k/1.6k for the bone serpent.

Region sale avg is always “inaccurate” or skewed. Basically that is the price an item actually sells for, which seems good on paper but it’s not actually very truthworthy. For example, let’s say someone uses #default or just doesn’t know the value of an item and posts for 50g, while the item is worth 5,000g. 50g is now recorded into that sale avg dragging the price way down. Yes, it technically sold for 50g but that’s not the standard. 99% of the time sale avg will always be cheaper on any item. If you look at materials, it’s most likely because people try to bait others by posting at 1s or 1g and that gets incorporated into the avg. if you look at more rarer items - armor, weapons, tmog, pets - most likely it’s people doing flips and buying items really cheaply to resell causing the skew

Great stuff!!! I've been caging by hand because I couldn't figure out how to get Cage Match to work. Turns out it's because I have Rematch checked. lol! I need to get back on this as it was terrific fun when I was doing it, and I think it has the potential to be more profitable than crafting. Thank you for the tutorial!!!

I've done a bit of pet selling in the past. It's a great way of moving gold across servers. I thought I'd follow your setup steps and of course, the AH is offline - bummer. Apparently, Blizz was accidentally giving people the selling price when they canceled an auction - oops!

In TSM, you have some requirements you must meet. For example, your min price has to be lower than your norm/max price as it just wouldnt make sense. Having a min of 10g while your max is 5g or normal is 8g just doesnt work. But a common misconception by beginners is that your Max price has to be the highest, while it doesnt. Normal price is used whenever you are the only one selling - no competitors, so normal can be as high as you want. Lets say your min price is 10g, your max price (max when you have competitors) is 20g, you can set your normal to 30g so if you are the only one selling, you are basically selling it at a premium. These values can be whatever you want, but hopefully that makes sense. You can have your normal at 500% dbregionmarket while your max at 300% dbregionmarket if youd like.

There’s no paid version, it’s all the same! Make sure you have TradeSkillMaster installed with the desktop addon

You will have to just cage your pets manually - installing Rematch and Rematch TSM Values will showcase prices on the journal tab itself, then you go in and cage what pets you want to sell

Your videos are great I have been following your stuff for while now! :) Very helpful and interesting, I keep learning new stuff. What I would be interested in, My Pet/Mog Auctions keep being listed as "posting at normal prize" They rarely undercut, and I'm usually doing 70 to 60% of dbwhatever.. Are there any ideas to get them to undercut more, or do I just have to go cheaper and cheaper? I have been tinkering with TSM for long but its been an on /off thing since I do alot of long breaks. Maybe you know some way to improve this situation?

Your transmog needs to be grouped uses Base Item (one of the grouping methods showcased when we created our pet group), if you havent done this, your tmog's random stats/item level is being taken into account which you dont want! that should solve those issues. In terms of pets, I would see if you are the only one selling or why it is posting an normal, if you are using different specific levels of pets (lvl 1 vs. 5 vs. 25), and they are grouped by specific, they will only post/undercut the same lvl as them, if you dont want this, you can group by Base Item as well

I had no idea about creating groups using categories like this (ie /battle pets)! Been using TSM since Legion and I'm still learning stuff :) Does the slash command map to the default UI AH categories? If so, can you also target subcategories? Yes! It maps to all the default categories and subcategories. So if you wanted mounts you would do /miscellaneous/mount

You buy pets on your main server, so basically the process seen in the video. Search your main, find some pets, spend as much gold as you are willing to spend, send those pets to another/other servers. Then as you sell those, you’ll gain income

Why do you use battlepetcagematch instead of Rematch-tsmpetvalues? I find rematch easier to use.

Rematch is really just for showing values, then you have to go in by hand and cage them or sort through them. BattlePetCageMatch may need a few more minutes of setup, but once it’s all done it’ll do all the sorting and picking for you

Hello, so I followed ever step but it doesn't seem to be working. I bought a pet for 2200k, the region price is 5800k, went to another realm and the min buyout is 6800k. However it didn't cage the pet I guess it doesn't meet the criteria. Could this just be the AH is busted rn, or should I change the custom TSM value to min buyout? Thanks for the info and help

What is the dbmarket of the pet? If the dbminbuyout was 6800g while dbmarket was 2000g, that’s why it’s not getting caged. It also means that rn the price is heavily inflated on the server since normally the avg is 2000g. If you are seeing a lot of those types of pets, I believe it’s due to the AH change. The AH was completely wiped on reset so that means anyone could basically post items at whatever cost. That means some people posted really expensively. If it stays like that, dbmarket will catch up after a few days. Or you can decide to change your value to dbminbuyout, completely up to you

So to be clear as I'm not strong with these options and addons, there is a custom TSM string in the middle and at the bottom of the cage master. Do I change both or just the one you did in the video. You need to adjust the bottom dbmarket to dbminbuyout if thats what you wish to do

It really depends on the specific realm - ive had a few full pops perform way better and actually have may better margins then some of my smaller servers and vice versa, you dont really know until you start trying to sell there. I would ultimately do a mix of both - you never want to accidentally miss a really great server

I dont do all this nerd shit for me its simple I sell pets I have already just get my token for the month each extra 10k is used for those scouting maps, mostly its the flawless worm but lanticore and pretty much any rare drop pet
