The wife in this story should have done something to get the attention of her husband before she cheated. He could have revised his algorithm and fixed the problem if he had known it was a problem. She didn't give him a chance, he thought everything was good. The husband in this story should have been more observant but the wife should not have betrayed him. Marriage is about commitment.
@Anunnakenny96 ай бұрын
You're absolutely correct, they all do the same thing they cheat and say you it was because of some thick problem they made up and that you never knew about and if that was truly the case why wouldn't they go to their husband and telling about this problem they're having so they can fix it together as a couple... But they don't do that the cheat and then make up a reason to justify the infidelity

Totally agree, yet women aren’t built that way. Had a wife that I gave her everything and it wasn’t enough and it was my fault because I never read her mind and figured it out. Turns out later she was bipolar and it was my fault. So glad we never had kids.

She did say at the end that she handled it like an adolescent, which is true, she did. But it's also true for both of them. He didn't just work hard, he was an engineer and picked engineer battles in his life because those were the ones that made more sense, that 'added up'. He was a workaholic, but with algorithms and designs, not with his marital duties. He was an aging adolescent, picking an adolescent's battles. Yes, she should have pointed out some of that to him, or found a counsellor who could articulate it to him in a way he could have heard. But she was an adolescent about it, focusing only on her own loneliness, then spitefully jumping into bed with the best friend to get her husband back for that loneliness he'd caused her. He was a kid about it and worked too hard, because that was the kind of work that made more sense to him, not the work he should have been doing in his marriage. She was a kid about it and nuked the whole thing. Hers was the greater sin, and the only marriage-ending one, for sure. But that fact about her doesn't make him guiltless -- not guilt about breaking the marriage, but guilt nonetheless, about straining it to the point of breaking, setting it up for her to finish it off with her unequivocable wrongs. They were both like adolescents, and he did hurt her with his neglect. But she was like an adolescent who'd found an unsecured, loaded weapon, and used it on him.

I agree that OP never should've neglected his wife by working too much. To the relationship guys: "Don't be neglecting your girlfriend or wife by working way too much." Because, that will cause massive problems in the relationship. Because, if you're not showing your woman any love, affection or attention, then she's going to cheat on you with someone else.

I don’t deny the ops own failings but I feel you aren’t also speaking of the wife’s own failings as well. Arguable worse than his. She didn’t try in anyway to make her marriage better. Instead of making it better she made sure it stayed dead. If she had done what she did in the beginning without any cheating I could see them possibly being able to try to work it out but she didn’t even attempt it. To make matters even worse, the person she cheated on him with was his Best friend. I’m sorry to say but any hope of a better marriage was destroyed when she cheated. The main guy started it but his spouse didn’t try to stop it. She made is incredibly way worse

Here's a secret my friend for the higher-ups I worked in a field that constantly have to deal with people I call the upstairs the management would come down and try to micro manage now here it comes you have one of your people or yourself strategically place a grease gun in the area when the suits show up the one fellow with the grease gun hanging down nonchalantly walks past and dips a small tiny piece of grease on the back of the man's trousers he will not know where he got it but he will spread it all over that new BMW they'll have it clean it'll happen once it will happen twice and subconsciously he will never return to your domain again it will be phone calls and requests for you and they won't even know why

So Frank admits to devoting his at home life to work and his wife cheats on him. I'm a salaried employee and I will never work after I leave...most these stories seem to get out of hand due to lack of communication...communication is key to a long term relationship. And people in these stories act like there significant others are mind reader. Frank leave ur work at work and give ur wife attention or she will look for attention else where..truth hurts but u communicated ur issue. Fix it and make changes or deal with the shit that unfolds😢

Meh shes just as guilty. He should have been more attentive correct (I wont harp on him since thats already been done)- However she gave up long before she cheated without ever doing anything to actually save the marriage. He is shown to be very much able to 'wake up' when shaken. But she never shook. His Kid did though. He woke up, he reflected. She (his ex) woke up and spread her legs for his best friend. Perhaps she could have simply walked right into his office and say "Frank I am feeling lonely and like shit and we need a therapist and change or this marriage wont last' I think based on the fact that his daughter could shake him awake with what she said.. That would have shaken him just as much.. Instead she cheated. So yeah as a character shes just as guilty. They both did it, in different ways. Helped along by the biggest hypocrite - his best friend.
@jim64805 ай бұрын
True but there is also another truth to that one. Actually communicate your issue with your partner if you have a problem. That can help a whole lot more than cheating with his best friend.
