Ditto will be transformed as a different Pokémon. You can hold ZL on the Pokémon to see it’s species and it’s name will appear. Instead of trying to battle each pokemon

Ability Capsules don't give hidden abilities. you need an Ability Patch for that, those can be found in 6 star raids.

You need an ability PATCH not a capsule to get a hidden ability. The capsule will swap between two normal abilities, and a patch will switch a normal ability to a hidden ability, but not back to a normal ability (not sure if they changed that, but thats how it worked in gen8)

Minor Correction, you need to beat the game (as in see the credits) to unlock the judge feature, not just beat the three storylines Minor Correction 2, Ability PATCHES change a pokemon's ability from normal to hidden, ability capsules merely switch between non-hidden abilities for pokemon with two normal abilities

The pokemon from 5-6 star raids are great for breeding because they can have their hidden abilities and also good IVs. The key is getting that 6-star raid ditto then the game ramps up.

I'm seeing this about a year later and I finally got a more clear understanding of how Hidden Abilities are passed down when breeding with parents where one hase the hidden ability and the other doesn't. I consider myself a pro at Pokémon breeding but for the longest time, I struggled with passing down both Pokéballs and HAs. For example, back when the gen 7 starters were released during a special raid event for SwSh, I wanted a HA Litten in a Premier Ball. I had both a Litten in a Premier Ball and one with its HA but in a Regular Pokéball. I couldn't figure out or find any explanation on how to combine the two. I had some idea how but I just couldn't quite get it right. (I guess I never tried hard enough because all I had to do was breed down the HA on the regular Pokéball Litten until I found a female with its HA and then breed the female Litten with a male Litten in the Premiere Ball.)

The best place to run around hatching eggs is the middle circle in levincia because no wild pokemon spawn and get in your way, and also it is a circle so no turning around needed. Just run around in the cicle until you are mesmerized in the loop. :)

You can go 1 step further and breed HAs into different balls. For example, you can breed a HA female smoliv in an ultra ball with a male non-HA smoliv in a friend ball in order to get a HA smoliv in a friend ball.

It speeds it up. In general simply being in a picnic will have the game try to make an egg, one every 60 seconds with about a 3% success rate. Having any level of Egg Power changes the check to one every 10 seconds, with a 15, 21, or 30% success rate depending on Egg Power level. So yeah you could set up a picnic, make food, and probably return to a couple eggs. You don't NEED Egg Power it just makes it significantly easier to find eggs.

Helpful guide. I am trying to get a Cutiefly with the move Moon blast while breeding with Clefable. But every time I hatch the egg, I get Cleffa, which I don’t want. How do I get Cutiefly with Moonblast without using the mirror herb? Is it down to luck or is it something specific?

You have to use a Female Cutiefly with a Male Clefairy/Clefable knowing Moonblast. As the mother Pokemon is the one that passed on its species. That's why you were only getting Cleffa eggs. I know this is super late but hopefully this info helps you in the future.

It’s usually good to fill at least a box or 2, otherwise it’s a lot of back and forth between hatching and getting more eggs. Especially if you’re going for perfect IV or shiny which best possible odds would be 1/32 and 1/512 respectively.

@PhillyBeatzU This is in response to 19:15 , I was breeding a wooper with poison point with a ditto with limber in hopes of getting the water absorb hidden ability but after watching your video I stopped, but I still had eggs left over. I ended up hatching a wooper with water absorb from a ditto and a wooper without neither of them having a special ability the only thing that wooper was holding was an ever stone to pass down the adamant nature, i don’t know exactly how but it is possible to get a hidden ability from breeding two Pokémon without them having one them selves, hope this is helpful. P.s After this happened, I gave the water absorb wooper the ever stone with adamant nature and bread with ditto, and got back 100% water absorb woopers with different IV’s.

If you Mirror Herb Acid Armor onto the parent Dragalge and then breed it with the Ditto, yes. You'll get eggs with Acid Armor. Note the Pokemon you Mirror Acid Armor from doesn't have to be compatible with Dragalge. If you don't want to use the Mirror Herb trick then you will be required to breed with a Male Pokemon knowing Acid Armor aka Sliggoo/Goodra

Question: if a Pokémon has an Adamant nature, does that simply mean that the stat maximum is higher? Or that each “increase” will be more stat points? I am just learning EVs IVs etc. I am planning to make a great Quaxly with adamant nature, but I don’t plan to max out it’s attack, I want to spread the EV training out across the various stats (besides SpecAtk) but I want to know if adamant just means that the maximum amount of training I can do would be higher (which wouldn’t matter to me since I don’t plan to max it) or if it will gain more attack stat points for each level it gains?

Yes Destiny Knot and Power Items do work together. You'll get the HP stat from the Eevee then 4 other stats chosen randomly from both Ditto and Eevee's IV spreads. With the final IV being a random 0-31.

Whatever species you want to hatch from the eggs use a Female/mother Pokemon that is in its evolutionary line. That's how it's done for every Pokemon. I can't remember if the event Charizard was gender set or not but for getting Charmander eggs you would breed using a female Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard and you'll always get Charmander eggs.

Sadly hidden abilities are locked from the starters. You can get them by using the Ability Patch item much later in the game. But otherwise you're stuck with the standard ability.

If you want a hidden ability egg you'll first have to find a parent with the hidden ability in a Tera Raid or you can use an Ability Patch to force change the Pokemon's ability to the hidden. After that just picnic with it and the Ditto for infinite children that also have the hidden ability. Do note hidden abilities pass down only 60% of the time, the other 40% of eggs will have one of/the standard ability of the species. So don't freak out if your hidden ability parent breeds down a standard ability a few times. It's totally normal.

To my understanding. you first need a pokemon with wish(male or female), delete a move from eevee( leave one move slot open) and hold mirror herb, go to a picnic , and then end it. You should see eevee with wish after that.

No. One of the parents of the species you want to get as baby must have hidden ability. If you breed with 2 different species then the female need to have HA. If breeding with ditto you need the other mon to have HA for the offspring to be able to get HA.

Weird glitch I learned when catching a ditto. I accidentally fainted a ditto the first trying to catch it. So I rebooted the game. I thought I was gonna have to finding it hiding again as another pokemon but I didn't. It was showing up as itself. So it was easier to find. I caught it the second time.

For Gen 9 starters as of now, no. To pass a Pokeball you need to have caught that species in the desired ball. As Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly aren't available in the wild their only ball type is a regular Pokeball. On the bright side every other starter ever can be in other balls now so that's cool!

Charcadet has Flame Body? I've been catching and breeding Charcadets, and I have yet to encounter one with Flame Body. The abilities it does have are Flash Fire (which is the usual one you will see) and supposedly Weak Armor (rare ability that I honestly have yet to see any of my babies have). Another that does have Flame Body is Carkol which is who I ended up using for my egg hatching purposes.
