quick tip: if you are going to get a monitor, then i would recommend you get a good desk ( from ikea or where ever). and if the desk is making you look down at your monitor than i would also recommend getting a monitor stand because you can: in most cases store your console underneath and have your monitor on top and this should eliminate neck and shoulder strain.

One thing i can give to people running on a budget for a capture card. Look up on ebay ezcap 284. When i bought it 3 years ago it was 80$ Now the one down side to it. You have to use a usb or sd card to store your videos. Its runs 720p 60fps 1080p 30fps. But there is ways to connect it to your pc so you can also use a pc to store videos and stream. Hope this helps some people.

Just a disclaimer for anyone buying a monitor for next gen, you’ll need a device which has a hdmi 2.1 port if you want to game at 4K 120fps, at this point in time no monitor has a 2.1 port and only high end tv’s have them so I suggest you hold back on buying a new monitor or tv if you want the full experience

For the ps5/xbox series x to output 120hz you NEED a hdmi 2.1 connection. Currently there are NONE monitors with that specification out there.. but there have been announced a few to come out around console release, but watch out for the hdmi 2.1 (!) Port, you'll need it.

My biggest tip is to not waste your money on a next generation console and build a PC. Up until now consoles werent a bad investment for those who wanted to get good performance at low prices. You spend less than 300 and can play any game. With next gen prices it isnt the same case. You could easily build a more powerful pc on your own for the same price the upcoming consoles will be released at. Plus there are way more PC only games than console exclusives, and most the time console exclusives are just timed exclusives and come to PC anyways. On top of that you get way more sales with steam and can get much cheaper games than if you went to gamestop or bought from the ps4 or xbox store. On top of all that its also a pc and not just a video game and netflix machine like a console is. You can create content, do school work, work, etc. with a pc.
