Great video but the audio issue is easily sorted, in OBS or SLOBS you have to go to the settings of the capture sound and set the preference to 'Monitor/Output' and this will push the sound into the stream and through your headphones!

The HDCP issue, for the most part. Is only a PS5 thing. The Xbox consoles only run HDCP when a copy protected video stream is active, so only while using Netflix or other app. HDCP doesnt run at all on the Xbox while a game is being played. You still cant open a streaming app while connected to a capture card though, as the console can detect when it is. But a HDMI splitter usually negates that, as 99% of them strip out the HDCP signal.

Exactly and the same thing for the audio outputs. The S/X series allow to output audio on both headphones and hdmi. The ps5 doesn't allow it and so you absolutely need the chatlink

you have it complete backwards. any FPS UNDER the refesh rate will not tear, however any FPS OVER the monitors refresh rate will cause vertical tearing. You have it backwards

You attach the chat link cable wrong. The split end goes into the controller and the other half of the split goes to your headset. And the other end, that’s only one end goes into the capture card. I have the same set up already on mine.

Chatlink isn't needed. You can send the audio through the hdmi, just need to do it through elgatos software.

@@remyboismith no there is 1 hdmi in on the elgato, that one goes to your ps5/xbox, the hdmi out goes to your screen, the usb in the pc, then in obs studio/streamlabs you can see what you capture via the usb connection in the program. Hope this helps 😎👍🏻

Yes finally found a video that is exactly what I’ve done today doing a complete new stream reset. But sadly you didn’t get to my problem. How can I make my headphone audio louder , without making my stream louder. Because right now, I have my game audio, quite but stream audio is fine. But I can’t make it louder as it then gets too loud for my viewers.🤷‍♂️ So please someone tell me , how can I get a way of being able to change my and streams game audio separately?? Any help really appreciated. You also missed a massive point that will trip a lot of people up. If you use the chat link, which you have to on console, you also have to go into the 4K Elgato app and change the output from HDMI to Analogue, otherwise you don’t get any sound at all.👍

Ik this is somewhat of an old video, but on elgatos website, the requirements for PC to stream with the HD60X are more advanced then what’s in the Budget PC. For example the ask for a Ryzen 7 and I believe the budget PC has something lower. My question is that I would like to build that exact budget PC for my PlayStation streaming, but I am worried that the Specs won’t be good enough for the HD60X.

I have something similar, the downside is that you need to power the pc on if you want the console output on screen otherwise you’ll get a black screen. The easy fix? hdmi splitter, you split the ps5 output (one for capture card and the other directly to the screen) The only problem with that is that I still can’t find a splitter that can handle 144hz or more so i’m lock at 60 even if the game plays at higher framerate. If you have a fix for the framerate issue, hit me up

I use an Ezcoo HDMI Matrix MX42PRO, which can run 4k@60 via HDMI 2.0, 1440p@144hz, and 1080p@240hz. I bought it specifically to to use with my Xbox series X and gaming PC in order to have both hooked up to an Elgato 4k Pro in my capture PC. It has 4 HDMI 2.0 inputs and 2 HDMI outputs, as well as a TOSLINK audio extractor and an EDID clone function (copies the information from your main screen). It is a bit more pricier than a standard splitter, but it absolutly works at 1440p 144hz, which is the resolution my monitor uses over HDMI. And I use the XSX at 1440p@120 as well.

If you have a desktop streaming PC, you could just pick up an internal capture card like Avermedia Live Gamer 4K or Elgato 4K60 PRO for the past couple of years and you were already sorted. USB capture cards were not meant for this use case at all.

Hi, you plugged your chatlink backwards... The side you plugged into your headset goes into the acquisition card and the female side of the chat link must be plugged into your headset with the cable provided with it
