I have the Pro version. I was just able to get my hands on one for pretty cheap but I wasn't a mic guy so I had to do a ton of research to figure out how to plug it in. I use a USB Dual Pre now and I'm not sure I have it as optimized as it could be. I'm just curious what do you use to power the mic?

Straight into the laptop via USB, that's what I love about it, it's super easy, plug and play!

One thing I will point out for those who maybe considering getting one of these mics, the usb port on the mic is of poor quality and for only a standard level of use it ended up breaking inside. Fortunately I had the pro and connected the XLR up to my DAC and have had zero issues. In order for me to fix the usb port, I would need to open the mic up and remove the dodgy one and resolder a new one.

@@asmrARA yeah BLUE cheaped out big time on some of their internals. I remember watching a video on it. If you buy a replacement port (high qualty one, they are cheap) get an electronic repair person to fix it for you. Be cheaper than buying a new mic.

This is a HUGE microphone!! Mine was an ad-hoc web order from Black friday, and i was laughing my ass off. Buy a smaller one, this 1/6 of a 35" wide screen monitor. Dammit.

Do you think Blue Yeti Pro would be good for recording vocals? I am stuck between Shure MV7 and Blue Yeti Pro I am getting Yeti Pro for less than half of the price of the MV7

It seems decent for vocals, the MV7 might be more 'tailored' for recording vocals, but I haven't used it to compare. I have no issues with the Blue Yeti Pro for vocals though!
