Welcome to Patch 13! And all the bells and whistles this patch brings!
While it pains me that my old build videos have become painfully obsolete, it's a worthy sacrifice to the altar as we gain so so many new ways to purge heretics in our favorite game
And I certainly didn't miss them buffing my Eviscerator THATS for sure.
But this build is really inspired by many more positive changes that were introduced from the latest drop.
Not only is the Eviscerator able to deal more damage and actually cleave through targets now, we've also seen a rework to Shred and it's weapon chain condition, and we have a freight container's worth of new talents to work with which makes the old bleed build look WEAK in comparison.
And so, this video shall go over a brand new, and VERY FUN, build focused on stacking crits, spamming charges, and slaying enemies with the coolest rip stick across all of Atoma.

This is exactly the build I was looking for :D been playing a lot with the Eviscerator while levelling my Zealot but instead of the shotgun I was rocking the revolver. can similarly proc the Emperors bullet with the single reload function and is fantastic for sniping those pesky long range specials. It honestly makes me sad how much powercreep the Martyrdom build took with the rework. I loved running round with an Atrox, cleaving heads left and right while enjoying almost total damage reduction from it, but now, the crit build is just vastly superior thanks to the extra perks they added in. RIP Honoured Martyr, you shall be remembered.

Played something similar, but changed it to match your build. I like yours more, seems to do less damage but i dont have any issues staying up in the fight because of the mitigation talents.

I run a build like this. Sadly, my eviscerators are outdated and I have had 0 luck with rolling new ones. They are doing fine though with what I could change. Just so much fun with one of my favorite weapons in the game. Though I run a revolver instead of a shotgun so I can kill tough targets with a headshot or two and gun down crushers if needed.

I prefer running perfect strike with shred rather than savage sweep. The cleave boost is nice for hordes but when those are mixed with armored maulers and stuff the cleave is useless because the weapon is blocked by armor. Perfect strike helps with keeping the cleave momentum going a lot since you’re critting a lot.

Is max rating for cleave ect 80 percent on rolls? So would the 180 percent for 2 second be actually bad with 66 percent on your item. Wouldn't you want 25ish or 28% roll mix with 180 percent making it 70ish percent then . Or does the game let your surpass 80. I think I read 80 was max somewhere ?

Really good combo is a Heavy 1 followed by a Light 2 or Block Push Attack. The first heavy in the combo chain is the best cleaving move and following it up with a block push attack helps manage your crowd more while you prepare the next heavy. A light can be substituted but is less effective (tho also consumes no stamina). Either is completely repeatable without needing to cancel/restart your combo chain. Also revving before your heavy gives it RIDICULOUS cleave and you can protect yourself from being hit during the rev + prep windup by using your charge as you do it, also guaranteeing the crit as well!

Heavy light repeat if you need stamina, block push into light for 2 perfectly horizontal head chops if you have stamina

@@swiggsmcswoogs Thanks for the response. It's the only Zealot weapon that's given me issues, but I think that's more muscle memory from other weapons than anything else. I'll give it some practice. On another note, I just realized our builds are identical, minus Fury. I take stealth over it for generally the same reasons of toughness replenishment and a guarenteed crit, but where it looses the momentum, it gains utility in being able to get downed people up, get out of bad situations, get to a ranged line of enemies, or my favorite to do the servo skull puzzle/auspex uninterrupted. Give it a shot. Cheers

the voice of terra doesnt work with the burn dmg from the kantrael. restoring faith is very good against sniper shots and crusher/ mauler overheads.

You might not be aiming for backstab, especially with the evicerator over the knife... but sometimes the enemy are so stupid that they try to head for a target that isn't you, and that needs to be punished. The perk is very much valid. In fact, it can be extremely useful for monstrosities/bosses because a fully charged heave attack with a revving evicerator after a charge... takes a pretty solid chunk out of the mightiest foes. Especially if their shield is down.

In case he doesn't say he has 200hp and 140ish toughness so at least a toughness curio and an hp curio, I'd assume perks are stam regen toughness/hp and gunner or sniper resist since he mentions getting chewed up by gunners. Seems like gunners are the only thing that can even drop zealots at the moment

Is perfect strike a viable blessing to have on the eviscerator?

Yes it is better even. Shred + perfect strike is how you should build the eviscerator. It allows you to keep momentum in mixed hordes rather than getting your blade stopped by a single mauler.

I think I may actually go over relics in a separate video, but in general I can add that to the weapon kit section going forward for my builds! For this build, I run 3 +3 Stamina relics with Stamina Regen and Revive Speed modifications on all three and then usually Gunner Damage Resistance or something similar. You may want to run Toughness instead for a better dose of sustainability, but I usually run stamina when possible since it allows me to have more control with extra block pushes sprinkled into my combos.

Eviscerator works better with martiyrdom and attack speed build to make it a blender and take advantage of its high attack and get some damage resist on the side (best done with pokemon low hp sound/music playing in the background) than it dose with the stacking crits build, you better of trying to do crit with the smaller chainsword to take advantage of its natral attack speed to get more crits. Side note, the first heavy attack when reved will insta kill all horde enemys in the swing without being locked to one enemy like it dose to elites and specs.

I think they covered their reasoning pretty well. They're choosing to attack less but hit more when they do crit. The regular chainsword would crit more often, but you would likely be hitting less enemies per crit attack than the evis.

i've found good results with the masters retribution and using that rev +heavy1 or light1 with new evisc. who cares if you get stuck in a rager or mauler, everyone's getting knocked back and its a 10s cooldown.

Ya know it may really be a good perk specifically for chain gang weapons, since having a free pass to get stuck in would be pretty amazing! I'll have to try it on a chainaxe with Thrust I think and see how much I can just smite on Crushers and get away with it

​@@swiggsmcswoogs i'm preferential for its use with evics' since you have less mobility. it also opens you up to be able to take free hits for your party. if you take benediction +until death that lets you take more. it's not to rely on but to give yourself a get out of jail free card and If, if REALLY necessary, I can jump infront of a hit that would ordinarily kill a teammate and keep fighitng. i may not make a ton of hp back but if i can keep it for 120s, i can keep myself alive indefinitely. combining that with fury and your charges you can keep toughness up + crit chance poppin. I'm working on a defensive evisc build butI have yet to find the right combo.

admittedly, you're not gonna be earning as much health from until death as you would with a hammer, but any health is better than no health and fury of the faithful frenzy (combining FoF and FF) means you can swing faster than a hammer in 5s. hammer might get 2-3 swings, i'm hitting +10 lights, +4 heavies. if im hitting 200~ with each hit and i'm hitting a minimum of 5 times thats (200x5)x3, that's my 25% easy. even if i'm only dealing 10 per swing, (10x5)x3=150, well over my 25% max with until death.

Fire Frenzy's description text has been bugged for me for weeks. It gives a bunch of code gibberish so I have no idea what it does or if they made changes. There are a few blessings like this. Most got fixed in the big update but not all.

I think so, but one issue is that they both are really good at crowd control so it could make your build a bit too focused and especially weak to ranged enemies (though that long ranged weakness is unavoidable more or less with the Flamer) But the Flamer pairs really well with weapons that excel at single target removal like Thammers as it makes your overall kit incredibly versatile to whatever your team needs

In vermintide 2 I was a glaive shade main so I love crit as much as anyone else, but hear me out. Martyrdom. This keystone with eviscerator feels like cheating. Pathing to the 25% dmg heal then going left for better toughness regen, pathing to shield of contempt then going left again for the better aura, fury and all points in the martyrdom path leaves you with 1 point to choose either the 50% DR on a wound or gain uninterruptible from the piety path. Running a +1 wound curio means at high level play you can permanently benefit from at least 20% attack speed and damage, plus an extra 25% DR along with 75% from shield and regen another 25% of all damage taken, while whipping the eviscerator around like a combat knife with +50% attack speed. I've clutched so many heresy and damnation quick plays with martyr zealot that my only remaining task from the emperor is to convert the rest of you into a new golden age of 3rd career saltzpyre

Do you have to go down on purpose to lose wounds in order to benefit from martyrdom? I tend to notice that matches simply end when I go down as everyone wipes (I play with a lot of psykers and vets and they just don't seem to clutch rez as well as a zealot or ogryn), so the thought of waiting until I go down naturally has made it seem unappealing.

Wounds are not going down. A wound is the white bars for your health meter. So the more wounds you have, the better Marytrdom gets. Since you lose less health per 'wound'. going down in a mission just fills 1 wound with corruption (purple) which means you cannot heal that wound until you use a med station. @@Unahim

the blessings are per weapon type. So to get Savage sweep on the evis, you need to sacrifice Evisrators. Since its the only weapon of its type. Being 'heavy chainsword'

@@poptartninja9496 That talent is horrible. A talent you can't control and triggers every 10 secs towards damage to someone, you or someone in your coherency, receives from ANY source. Zombie hit from behind, walk through fire, stray ranged shot, so on and so on. Swap out of that talent and you won't even notice a difference. That's how little a change there will be.

For increased sustainability, you may want to replace Shred with Momentum. You'll lose a chunk of your crit engine, but it will help make you more resilient in a more overwhelming setting. Otherwise the key is really spamming your charge as much as possible to act as a consistent stream of toughness and stagger which secures you a better advantage in fights

One thing to notel unveilding damage in the kantreal is actuly really, REALLY good, even more so if your running purge the unclean. Why? Becuase spamming dragonsbreath FUCKS UP bosses, ive been able to get 60k boss damage with this stupid thing.

Also bleed from your crits is devastating, so stacking fire and bleed by alternating your melee and ranged weapons can be great for clearing bosses

Or you can get a Mk V combat axe, high damage output and fast swings for single target, heavy attack to deal tons of damage for armored mobs / elites (also you can slide+heavy attack), and you can repeat push-cleave-push-cleave for crowd-control. Works very well with crit build too.

Try Rashad with momentum and either decapitator or headtaker along with a speed build (right side of the end of the tree). Chop heads of everything with extreme rage and never use anything else again:)

Yea, I'll stick with my axe and brutal momentum thanks. The chain sword is ok, but it really lacks the aoe and single target kill speed the axe provides, and the axe just controls so much better.

Brutal momentum was nerfed, evis was buffed. Axe feels alot weaker now but that's just my opinion. Heavy sword IX and Evis feel like the strongest weapons on zealot now for Damnation/Auric

Eviscerator has a pretty bad crit multiplier and needs attack speed, better off going for either wounds keystone or inexorable judgment keystone imo, if you wanna crit make sure to pick a weapon with decent crit multiplier (2 - 3x dmg, devils claw, knife, atrox). And then realise the second talent (bleed on crit, gain crit on hitting bleeding targets) gives you more than enough crit chance if you have a weapon that has a decent base crit chance, which makes blazing piety quite redundant and also kinda boring in comparison.

So problem is that the mod does not ALWAYS display crit colors on screen during gameplay (or sometimes even in the psykanium for spawned enemies) But with the crit chances totaling up to 75%, it usually gets about 2k crits a game, so certainly a critty build. As for crit bonuses, the bonuses are primarily for minmaxxing cooldowns and still providing a roughly 20% extra damage to all your attacks, so certainly not unimpactful to say the least Team support is certainly an area for the build to actually be improved though, so I'll keep that in mind. As for knife, knife is indeed still king. Love me a good knife build but doesn't usually fit into an Eviscerator build for some reason
