Completely unrelated but yay there's more room in our main household to have another baby! I do understand that the famine has made life way more difficult but some times, babies happen. I'm just really terrified that we're going to lose some of the little ones in our main family and want to make sure the odds are in favour of our family's continued survival!

Jasper is forging a career and would have the stability to take them in when he becomes a young adult. Not to mention, their Aunt and Uncle are very loving and only have 1 child (Liam) so they'd definitely have the time and ability to raise their little nieces.

Because I'm pretty sure it was not illegal for orphaned children to go live with their families, especially because multi-generation or other extended family households were more common in this time period. Depending on where they are, it's quite possible that they wouldn't be taken into a monastery at all - monasteries relied on wealthy patrons to keep them running and this is mid-famine. Additionally, because of the famine there would be a massive surplus of kids *wanting* to be taken in by a monastery for the sake of having a bed and meals. So kids that still had living family members would be very far down the list. I'd have to do some more research on whether monastaries took in kids at all during this time - 1316 is still early enough in Medieval Catholic history that monastic orders were focused largely on maintaining extreme isolation from the rest of the world. I believe the biggest orders at this time would have been the Benedictines and Cistercians, both of which were still highly focused on asceticism at this point in history. Edit: This is probably way more backstory than you wanted lol I'm sorry didn't realize how much I wrote, I am just a history nerd specializing in religion lol

I think she may still try to see her brother initially and he might be upset with her for worrying her parents and may encourage her to go back home which she may not want to do. That may push her to stick with the misfits cuz shes young and thinks she knows what she doing. But its good to have friends when youre trying to find your way

Worth the wait! Aanora the bandit Queen has begun! Can’t wait to see the family reaction the minute a wanted poster goes up, particularly Jasper and how his sisters actions could effect him when other training knights find out his sisters a criminal, and vice versa with Aanora and Jasper being a knight. Jasper will definitely try to look for his sister, whether he’ll be successful is unknown. With Aanora gone Adalyn is now the eldest child, I think she’ll definitely thrive under the responsibility. Aanora is definitely a lone wolf, but the same time she also knows there’s safety in numbers so would probably hang around, she’ll definitely follow Faye’s advice via the hair as well. She’s definitely gonna get a crush on Ronin, she seems like the type to like the “bad boy/prankster” partners. I don’t see her as the type to “try and fix him” though, she knows what he is and she’s alright with that. This might change the more we get to know Ronin but I don’t see him wanting to settle down, so he could be her fling while she’s off doing her bandit lifestyle, I don’t see those two together being careful ether and despite being against female expectations I remember Aanora wanting kids as a child and might still do deep down, and well… accidents happen, especially when two teens are attracted to each other.

I love the fact that Caspian's last home is now a ruin and the new home for the bandits. It's winter, night, and a little bit spooky out there, but for Anora on the campfire, with the others and their stories, she could see a big adventure and is very exited. XD

I love how fitting this is for Anora! Jasper is treated like such a golden child, but Anora has always been just as talented as him if not more, but they don’t invest in her future like they do Jasper’s due to the time period. So Anora is understandably angry and bitter about her situation, so leaving and trying to carve out her own future, even if it’s dangerous, is totally up her alley. However, I feel like life on the streets would be so dangerous for her during this time, and I can see her really coming to miss her loving home after being exposed to some of the cut-throat attitudes in the open world. It depends on how dark you want to go with storytelling, but I don’t see Anora necessarily having a happy future. She’d likely get a reputation if people start recognizing her, and it might ruin her chances at matchmaking (which I’m sure she would be fine with, but it might be stressful for her parents). But I can even see her even having to flee back home if she gets into a violent situation and her mom having to tend to her injury, leaving her with a massive scar. Or maybe she’d be happen upon an even worser fate with being forced to go back home for help due to an unwanted/accidental pregnancy. I can see Anora having a bit of a tragic story being kind of the black sheep of the family - but perhaps she finds the city really lively and finds a nice match (someone who can also keep her safe) and she makes a nice life for herself taking on her father’s blacksmith trade (it’s a great physical and outdoorsy option for her livelihood that isn’t being solely bound to household tasks! Plus, I like the idea of her crafting weapons and being open to selling to other women on the street who were in a similar situation to her). Middle class women like her in medieval times took on a lot of skills for their family trade, so I don’t think this would be too off for her! Especially if or when Kenric dies, it’s not unheard of for the remaining women in the family (if there’s no available heir) taking on the family trade as a femme solo.

This episode was amazing! I cant wait to see Anora & Ronins relationship progress. I get the feeling she'll feel some attraction to him very quickly but he will have alot of resentent once he learns her brother is a knight. Perhaps he lost his family during a conflict (Dad committed a crime?) with the royals, so he doesnt trust them and takes a bit to trust Anora despite being attracted aswell. I cant wait to see which direction you taker with her story, it's already so good!

Great episode! i have literally been telling bf how excited i was for the next upload! i think the band of misfits is a great place for Anora to be at least for the time being. i love her and Faye already! i think yes Anora is actually a loner, but she’s smart and knows that in order to be safe this is the place for her to be. also i have a technical question, does this count as a side household and will you being doing death rolls for the end of the famine for everyone in the band of misfits? great episode! i’m so excited to watch the next one :)

I think anora would go visit her brother but he disagrees w her and almost like breaks her heart in a way like she thought he’d at least be on her side and understand her so then she runs back to the misfits and joins them, also ronin a possible love interest, or even a love triangle between the two men, which then can make tension between her and Faye cause she’s like don’t play w my brothers heart and maybe she also likes ronin ?! I think she wants to visit her brother at the castle. He will try to be the "adult" and "sensible" but she takes it as an attack and misunderstands his good intentions. then she chooses to team up with the bandits.😬 could also be fun and exciting with a romantic relationship (but not that serious) with one of the two bandits. think if it ended up with a child in the wilderness... 😶‍🌫️ then they must be bandits without a roof over their heads who "raise" a child. A bit like Ronja Røverdatter. (Astrid Lindgren's story) 🤩 Love this serie.

- FAUVEL! 💜 - I'm crying real tears at the thought of Anora hanging/hunting with this band of misfits, and every month like clockwork, she tells them there's something she needs to do. And the next time Rosceline goes into the family cellar there's a new delivery of food waiting for her. - Glad I'm not the only one who saw the potential Ronora ship, lol. That knifepoint pose is spicier than it needs to be 🤣 - I can't wait to see the new dynamic between Anora and Jasper! This may be thinking too far ahead, but I could see a scenario in which Anora eventually gets sent to the castle prison, but when Jasper (a high ranking knight at this point) finds out he immediately orders her release. They get to talk things out and reconcile, possibly even with the rest of the family 🥺

I found this channel yesterday , watched every episode and I feel in love with this series ❤️ I do have a question though - did you roll for Anora to see if she gets married , are you waiting until after the famine is over or just decided she won’t marry or having kids? Because once a child becomes a teen you normally do a marriage roll and I noticed you didn’t , so I was curious 😊 But a bandit family would be super cool , like Ronya the robbers daughter story!

I'll probably start to do those soon after the famine, but in all honesty if I don't like how they turn out and it doesn't work with the storyline then I might just toss it out but I'm down to experiment with it and see how I like it. I do have a tentative storyline for Anora planned out though but I always leave room for the gameplay to let it develop naturally

6:16 hahaha last episode Maye kicked Anora's butt for picking on her... and now Momma is on a rampage after that yelling match she had with Anora... and Anora disobeyed their dad too and ran off into the night... do she is rocking back and forth in laughter thinking her sister is gonna get into so much trouble when she gets back!! but she's only 7 or 8... and doesnt fully understand that Anora could get sick or hurt out there in the dark... she isnt as seasoned a hunter like their dad. Dad makes it look easy. I'd love to see Anora kind of mistrust Ronin at first because he's like the reserved myterious guy, but as they go on hunts together he slowly starts to open up, maybe his evil side has a good reason... perhaps he lost his family to the famine or some murderers and beforehand his family rejected him for being the weakest in his family, saying he could never protect anyone and that he's useless. As they eventually got slaughtered when Ronin was out on a hunt, it broke him and assured him of his own weakness. Thus he decided to become the strongest independent dude on damn planet earth, which also turned him hateful and mistrusting towards others. Kind of as a coping mechanism. I could see them become best friends since they are both very tough, and Ronin might be slowly falling for Anora for having the strength to be good and loving despite her own past. He falls for her because she makes him a better person in some way and teaches him how to move on but also never forget the ones you loved and cared for, even though you turned out to be burden to them. I love this series so much! Please keep going on like this 💕

I think she knows Jasper would try to stop her or write to her parents. She wouldn't be allowed to stay with him, so the only option would be to runaway or go home if she saw him. Maybe bumping into him in the woods on a hunting trip and him not recognising her would be interesting

THIS EPISODE WAS SO GOOD!!!! 1. I think it could be interesting to see Anora decide to go her own way and continue being a lone wolf at first instead of staying with the Misfits. BUT then either she ends up saving them by, idk, telling them there's guards looking for them or something; or they end up saving her and so shes like "hm ok I guess having friends isn't that bad" lol 2. I still think there's gotta be at least some element of disagreement between her and Jasper. Like i said on the last video Jasper feels like he really has to prove himself as a knight and protector of the realm b/c he's of such low birth compared to the others, and having a sister who's a thief, let alone helping her, could like undermine his hard work. Because I'm pretty sure stealing a horse was like a REALLY bad crime at that time, I think it was like punishable by death. So he loves her but can't really help her Wait so maybe these 2 things can be combined. Jasper sympathizes with Anora but tells her that he and the other knights are supposed to be going out tomorrow and rounding up the bandits and thieves in the area, and that if she's still there he won't be able to help her, and he's already risking a lot just by telling her. But Anora decides to risk herself in order to go warn the Band of Misfits, and ends up staying with them as like a "f you I'm going to make my own family with people who understand me" because she can't help but feel hurt by what Jasper said and what he was willing to do. And because she feels like since Jasper's a boy and got to go become a knight and meet the King and Queen and all this stuff, and because he was gone by the time the famine started, she feels like he doesn't understand.

This reminds me of a Sarah J Maas novel now....loving it! I think Anora should stay with the misfits for awhile. They could have great adventures, she falls in love with Dante and her and the girl (sorry, forgot her name) could be friends...and then after a bit Ronan gets jealous of her and tries to sabotage her. She'll have to prove herself in some way, maybe she'll have to kill Ronan by the end...the possibilities are endless!

listen i LOVE a toxic knife point romance as much as the next person. but everyone shipping Ronin and Anora is kinda weirding me out, like he’s at least 18 and she just turned 13. i know that’s probably historically accurate (sadly) but still kinda disturbing.

ur right that it is historically accurate (history nerd here), as children were eligible to be married off pretty much right after they began puberty, but commonly boys would be given a couple more years so that they had the time to establish a farm/job/savings to be able to have a family. So at the time I guess an age gap like that would be considered actually healthier? (Not that it makes it better to us as modern viewers, just thought it was interesting context!) I see at least 2 ways this could be fixed: 1. Make him a teen instead of young adult 2. We can say that an unspecified amount of time has passed since Anora's aging up and now - maybe it was another year or 2 of her building the skills she needed to run away and tension growing with the family. So maybe she's like 15 (and I know young adult = 18 in the game, but we can say he's like 16/17 bc that would have been considered young adult then?) I'm also honestly fine as it being left as is, as someone with (unfortunately) personal experience in the subject... but I ofc do not speak for everyone who's been throguh that so I totally understand if people want it changed!

@@Emma-fr9idI’ve read some comments and definitely seem to be in the minority of this thought! The aging in this challenge is very specific so for story telling purposes I don’t think (hypothetically) aging up Anora would work. I’d rather have Ronan aged down tbh BUT I’ll still watch and enjoy the series bc at the end of the day it’s a sims 4 game and it’s all fiction. I appreciate your reply :)

This was Caspian's original lot from earlier in the series, but they moved to the "mainland" near the Rosenthorn's farm. I just haven't had a chance to catch up with them in a recent episode but so far they are ok 🥰

Omg the cloaks were a whole thing to try to find one I liked and functioned in game! The pose is part of the At Sword Point pack by Lady-Moriel: lady-moriel.tumblr.com/post/721375963172175872/posepack-at-swords-points I highly recommend a lot of their cc and poses. they are incredible! and the cloak I used it by Natalia-Auditore. It disappears when I zoom the camera too far out but it was the best one I could find. If I wanted them to also have a hood I just used the one that comes in game cause I didn't like how bulky the hood was on the cc cloak. i cant remember if its base game or in a pack though. www.patreon.com/posts/medieval-cloaks-31889272

I love this series and you’ve inspired me to do my own playthrough too, I know you do a more PG playthrough for KZbin but Sacrificial put out a Path of the Warrior mod which allows deaths by swords if you’re interested, I know the sword fighting is super limited with the Star Wars mod conversion. To be honest I haven't really kept up with the spreadsheet since around the time Jasper became a teen. I'm playing the challenge more as inspo for storytelling, and as I mention a lot I'm not a big rule follower so the spreadsheet isn't critical to me. I use the calendar in game to track years so I haven't needed the spreadsheet all that much. Is there something specific you're curious about? I'm happy to answer any questions

Hello, I want to say I really loooove this series and I hope you see my coment and I have idea for the game story It would be cool if Kenrick "found" a female horse in the woods and brought it home and she would have babies with their son's (Jaspers') horse and then they could sell the babies to pay the bills. I hope you like the idea. 😊 And sorry if I spelled the names wrong. I already said this on the last episode, but I wanted to try again. Thank you so much for this idea! We probably won't breed the horses anytime soon but I think it's a great idea for once we start "rebuilding" after the famine. I can see there being a high need for more horses after losing so many in the famine so that may be a great source of revenue over the upcoming decade
