There are two styles of the T-Fal: The EZ Clean and the Odorless. It appears you purchased the EZ Clean model instead of the one you wanted, The Odorless. The reviews that I've seen of the Odorless make it appear that there is a big reduction of the steam produced during deep frying over standard fryers. You might want to look around for one of those models (they are cheaper than the EZ Clean model) to see if you can keep your cabinetry safe from all the moisture.

Another useless deep fryer just like the All Clad. What's the point of having such a shallow frying depth? Like the All Clad... you place a single row of fries in the basket (which is like 6+ inches tall!), yet the oil BARELY covers the fries. I thought I was going to buy this model since the All Clad was so shallow, but looks like I have to look around more. In my opinion, the oil should come up to at LEAST the half way mark on the basket (if not 3/4 of the way). Anything less and I may as well just use the stovetop with a stainless pot and a digital thermometer.
