Did you put a spacer on the driver side or did you raise the driver side clip up 1 notch? I have the same vehicle with the same shocks only but my driver side is sitting 1-1/2” lower. What did you do to make it level?

I did a 6 inch pro comp lift on my 2012 FJ. waste of money and have to have custom skid plates made and can not find a fabricator. Really did not get any clearance advantage due to the front cross meter. The only thing that the lift kit was good for if o wanted to put 35s or better but then you have the cost of re-gearing. Stick with the 2.5 lift ,wish I did!

Do you have a video or picture of your lift..??
@macdaddy16173 жыл бұрын
@@kc8998 go to “RMS off road” in Long Island NY website. He did mine and has a ton of pics on there. Eventually I’ll regear and put 35s on. I’m running 33s now. Oh yea you have to have rims that offset too with that lift or run spacers but spacers are not good for off roading. Another expense. Stick with the 2.5-3 inch lifts and run 33s unless you seriously want to do rock crawling. My 2 cents. 🤷🏻

Dont forget your cutoff wheel and sledgehammer for removing the old struts that are rusted in place. lol

Yeeeeahh ... if you don't have that spring compressor tower dealy, you can pack it up and ship it back! I tried with three different types of spring compression tools, broke one (didn't die) .. and NOBODY (shops) wanted to mess with compressing the spring onto the strut for me ...

Thumbs up great job on your video! How does the suspension feel off road? Does it feel smooth or is it harsh ?

Are you running a spare tire and does that affect the overall height towards the rear with regards to choosing hard over medium for the correct level since you have hard springs up front for the bumber I thought to ask...
@yotamafia3 жыл бұрын
This FJ does have a spare tire, a spare tire only weighs around 60-80 lbs which doesn't justify the need for HD coils.

How did you reconnect the ABS sensor bracket back to the new upper control arms? I noticed there wasn't a spot for it

Didn’t notice a diff drop install. Necessary?
@yotamafia3 жыл бұрын
We personally don't recommend a diff drop unless you go over 2.5" of lift.

How do those rear mediums feel without any gear back there? Looking to get the same ones for my rear but I don’t always carry gear back there and hoping it’s not to stiff for daily driving without any gear.
@sirhuggles4 жыл бұрын
Niko Estella I’ve been wondering about this too. I think ima just get mediums no matter.

Did those bilsteins shocks last?

I've had them for 2 years and often run long ways on sand and gone to Baja 3 or 4 times as well and still good

Are the new upper control arms necessary for this lift? Or is it just best to do them when you are doing all that anyways? Thanks in advance
@Outwit1324 жыл бұрын
It helps if you look at shape of control arms changes positioning, but also you already have it already taken apart...
