Awesome video! Looking to install something like this for a Clipper Canoe 14'6". Would it warp the canoe to hang on the wall like your kayak?

I don't think that's a good way to store a canoe. Probably best upside down on some saw horses. Good luck!

I built a rack outside behind a fence, on the side or on the top? is it stronger on the side?

Way stronger on the side where the deck and hull come together, preferably also where there is an internal bulkhead of foam for added strength. The deck or hull will bow in over time if stored that way and leave a permanent indentation, called oil canning. Good luck!!

Hey thanks man! It works great for us. I just got a new 16' Boreal Kayak so I will have to modify the rack slightly. I live in Cranbrook, interior BC. I wish I could live on the coast. I have family on the island and come out once a year. I have 2 skims and love it! Not the greatest skimming out here but I make it work! I bet it sick where you are.

Nice congrats on new 16'. I want to visit Tofino someday. I compete in skim contests, most recently i took 4th in the Victoria skimboard contest, a month ago but i hurt my mcl. skimming is awesome in Vancouver, i used to go there a bunch and skim the low tide. I think everything is just plain better in Canada! Dude check out the banshee bungee, its 40' of slingshot bungee that works great for skimming the flats. check out my skim bungee vid on my channel. peace
