Had a whole discussion with my wife and daughter about their supboards in the garage. I don't want them there and/or don't feel like breaking the bank for some ceiling installation. This is a superb, affordable solution ! Even my wife can now use the pulley system, it's great. Greets from the Netherlands where garages are tiny 👋

Hi Alec! You are very welcome. I come up with a lot of crazy ideas and designs. Some work and some don't. This was one of my most successful, especially when you consider the cost. I'm glad it worked for you, too....All the best, Rick

Great - thank you! I have an inflatable, so I wrapped foam pipe insulation around the cord to reduce any pinching on the board. I'll probably try something more durable than pipe wrap for long-term storage, but this is progress.

Thanks for the video, I used your pulley system idea, but switched the eye hook for a dock cleat so the height is adjustable.

Great idea, I'm going to be using your system to hang my surfboard in a new garden shed I'm building so it's out of the way when I'm not using it. Thanks from Wales, UK

It will damage your board eventually. 550 chord doesn't distribute the weight across the surface. Think flat n foamy with a similar rig maybe, but as a board manufacturer, don't do this in a permanent frame of mind🤙

Didn't work for me. Front of board slipped. Way too flimsy.

+John Costan, so sorry to hear it didn't work for you. How far from the ceiling were you trying to hang it? My boards are just a few inches from the ceiling. I can imagine if you were trying to be farther down from the ceiling, the extra length of rope could make it less rigid. I have been using mine for two years now with no issues, and I take my boards down (and put them back up) a couple of times per week.
