When I lived in Missouri, we had a fellow in town much like this collector. He was over 70 years old by his own admission. I remember a fiberglass Ford Falcon that he would take to Kansas City for street racing. Between the tail lights was lettered "Old Man Playing Cars". It was very rare for him to be beat.

I had the pleasure to work with Tony and his brother, I believe his name was Doug, not sure , at Ford Motor Company's Louisville Assembly Plant on the metal touch up line in the mid 90's. Great guy, and as someone commented, he's always smiling. He was a drag car "nut" back then. What a great surprise to come across this video as I haven't seen him in many, many years. I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for taking the time to do it and feature such a Great Guy.

I went to look at a 68 El Camino (for $2500) north of Phoenix about 20 yrs ago and this guy had more intake manifolds in more configurations than I have ever seen: I don't remember anymore but there were shelves and shelves and shelves...the carburetors were in places (on those manifolds) I've never seen before or since. If I remembered you would probably think I'm lying. He had other toys too but this video made me think of that.

As a Brit’ & founder of the Popular Front, that one caught my eye. I’m fairly sure they were sold like that to the United States, I’ve seen the odd ones with the Prefect front end but not many. It’s good to see a survivor from the early days of Drag Racing.

I met him racing slot cars before and he's a great guy.....On a different note slot cars are an amazing hobby that doesn't get enough exposure. I started racing in the 90s as a kid and it's where I met several lifelong friends and racing buddies. We went from slot cars to dirt bikes/quads then real cars. But strangely enough we still race the things in the off season and I know a lot of racers that do the same including the owner of the track I race at. The drag racing scene is crazy too and it's a fun way to stay sharp on the tree and we've got some big names that show up. But they like to stay quiet.
